Spence Australia is the creation of Sue Younis(Spence) and her daughter Clare. Spence does the textile design and stitching while Clare draws the pictures and does the internetting. At the moment, we have: Australian designed and made Greeting Cards, Colouring Books, Aprons, Tea/Coffee cosies, boiled egg cosies, toy humpties, rabbits and koalas, bunny rugs, eye-spy games, kids clothes christmas st

ockings, bunting, candles, organic soap, driftwood sculptures, tea towels, native seeds, jewellery and more. We make the majority of our products from scratch and sometimes employ other Great Ocean Road locals to stich and print and stuff and glue things. The things that we don't make are sourced from other sustainable Australian Makers. Come and visit. x Spence

Our Story

Spence Australia is the creation of Sue Younis(Spence) and her daughter Clare. Initially, we were driven by the desire to provide high quality, unique and locally made mementoes for visitors to our little town on the Great Ocean Road.

In recent years, we’ve expanded our range of eco-stationary and homewares to encompass a broader appeal, retaining our love of colour, quirkiness and Australiana. Clare’s painting and illustrations adorn our fabrics and greeting cards while Spence’s impeccable stitching and assembly skills result in a perfect finish.

You can find our products in Melbourne (Melbournalia, Brunswick Bound, Merriville Home) Daylesford (Bokeh), Apollo Bay (Galapagos Books) and at our flagship store directly opposite the Port Campbell beach.
