Well.. we have gone and got ourselves in the sh**…

Somewhere in the Park Owners are being sued by Sony Music for disrespectful Beatles Tribute. This is what the article had to say… 🫠

In what legal experts are calling “the most absurd lawsuit since someone tried to copyright the moon,” the owners of acclaimed wine-and-beer haven Somewhere in the Park are reportedly being sued by Sony Music for “recklessly and irreverently recreating” the iconic Abbey Road album cover.

The image in question—posted after the venue’s opening —shows the venue’s co-owners strolling across a suburban zebra crossing with the same swagger as John, Paul, George, and Ringo back in 1969.

Witnesses at the shoot claimed the team blocked traffic for 14 full minutes while attempting to “nail the Lennon strut.”One driver, still emotionally recovering, was quoted saying: “I didn’t mind the delay. I just wish they’d committed more to the facial hair.”

Sony’s cease and desist letter reportedly refers to the image as “a flagrant and cheeky nod to one of music’s most sacred artifacts” and accuses the group of “visual plagiarism with a side of good lighting.”

According to an anonymous insider (who may or may not be the bartender), Sony’s lawyers are demanding the image be taken down, a formal apology be issued to Ringo Starr, and that Somewhere in the Park sends over two cases of Barolo “as a goodwill gesture.”

One of the owners, when asked for comment, simply replied: “We thought it would be funny. Also, none of us can play instruments.”

At press time, Paul McCartney had yet to respond, but sources suggest he would “probably be into it.”

We want to help promote and make this a huge event for our community so please take note of these details for what’s said to be a great evening of fun! 🎆

The Arts & Culture Fest will be on Saturday, March 29, and will kick off at 6.30pm just as the striking new Boorloo Bridge illuminates the evening sky. 🌌

Perth..it’s time to drop a secret we’ve been keeping! 🤫

Almost 3 years ago, the undisputed king of WA BBQ dropped his legendary recipe for the ultimate pastrami. Not for the faint-hearted – this beast of a recipe takes a minimum of 4 weeks of painstaking prep - insane we know! 🤯

But guess what? Right on cue, our ginger-bearded kitchen wizard has been obsessively brining and smoking the brisket, and… WEEK 4 IT IS HERE. 😯

So, to mark the occasion, this Friday (yes this FRIDAY) from 12midday, we’re dropping a limited run of 30+ next-level Epic Reuben Sandos. First in, best dressed because when they’re gone, they’re GONE. 👋🏼

Tomorrow is all about our ‘Vino in the Venue,’ 🍷
and with over 14 chardonnays in the Wine Store it’s clear what Deb’s favourite drop is, just don’t ask her to pick a favourite, it hurts her soul 😂

However, if you reallyyyy twist her arm 🤫 she’d probably tell you that a lightly chilled Hay Shed Hill Block 6 is hard to beat, while also being a little parochial for Margaret River chardys. Why not right!? Especially when Victory Point, Cullen and Wills Domain are producing the goods! 🥂🍾

But there really are plenty to choose from with some fantastic drops from Victoria, including Giant Steps and Coldstream Hills from the Yarra Valley. As well as Savaterre Wines from Beechworth. 🍷

And for those who like their French Chablis, we haven’t forgotten you, how could we!
