Cheers to Chile - Spotlight on Pisco 🥃

Wednesday 18 September is Chile’s Independence Day, known as ‘Dieciocho’!

Traditionally celebrated with ‘asado’ meaning barbeques (and public parties or ‘fondas’), this beloved national holiday is embraced by Chileans all over the world.

One of Chile’s iconic drinks is Pisco, a South American grape brandy that incredibly dates back more than 400 years. Similar in taste to grappa or even tequila, Pisco is perfect in a cocktail (Pisco Sour, anyone?), on the rocks or Piscola - Pisco with cola.

🥂 It’s our 30th Anniversary! 🥂

On this day in 1994 we officially opened the doors to our premises on Walcott St, Menora.

This marked a milestone in our journey as our new home allowed us to grow, expand our services, and create an underground cellar.

Since then, La Vigna has continued to evolve each year. Our range is diverse - often highlighting local producers and emerging wine regions. We also host different types of events including complimentary tastings and wine appreciation evenings.

We are immensely proud of our journey to date and cannot wait to see what the future will bring!

New release: Isle of Harris Gin (Scotland) - $124.99

Smooth, complex, and refreshing. This distinctive gin is crafted using sugar kelp as its key botanical, sustainably harvested by hand from local sea-lochs. The sugar kelp is carefully balanced with seven other expertly selected botanicals including juniper, coriander seeds, cubebs, cassia bark, angelica root, bitter orange peel, and liquorice root.

We recommend pairing this gin with Fever Tree’s Indian or Mediterranean Tonic. Our personal favourite is the Mediterranean Tonic which complements the botanicals beautifully.
