It is with sadness that we announce the closure of The Imbibers. It has been a journey over the last 4+ years, and we are grateful to have made such wonderful friends amongst our supporters – locals, visitors and suppliers. We are proud to have showcased the wonderful produce of the local region and filled a gap in the Oatlands market, which we know is going to be missed.
The building will soon be put on the market, so hopefully someone else can fill the lovely heritage space with a much-needed business for our town.
We are offering a refund on any unused gift vouchers, please email details to [email protected] and we will arrange a refund via bank transfer.

A crisp winters day.... looking rainy tomorrow, so enjoy this afternoon! Pop in for a great Tasmanian whisky by the open fire. We have a great range from distilleries such as Belgrove, Old Kempton, 7K, Spring Bay, Derwent Distillery and many others.

We’re open Sunday with a treat for you! The wonderful Esther from Roslyn 1823 will be at the bar with tastings. Tegan from Van Diemen Providore will also have a pop-up stall. Great excuse to brave a winter day!

Hey there my Beautiful people. Aunty Nath here, just letting you know that the imbibers will be open 11-5 tomorrow Thursday 30th of May.
I will be there doing the best that I can to be at your service. On Friday 31st of my I will be having an operation on a couple of my vertebrae. No one should be alarmed by this and it will make my quality of life so much better and I will have the ability of running the imbibers better than ever, if I’m well enough I will also take it off the market. Fingers crossed that I may have an amazing friend that may do a pop up imbibers over the 3 weeks of my recovery. They are such an awesome and amazing human, as long as their other jobs and family stuff align ! I am so nervous but yet excited to hopefully be in less pain. Thank you so much to all of my loyal customers, friends, family and locals.

As you know, we have The Imbibers, and our on-site accommodation, Robinson Cottage, on the market. This is a move we haven't taken lightly, but - Nathan has some health matters to overcome, as well as two fine young sons he wants to spend more time with. Brad has a career outside of hospitality that he's pursing (and enjoying). It's a great business, but it's just not the right time in either of our lives at the moment. So... opportunity beckons the right people! This is a genuine sale, both The Imbibers and Robinson Cottage are great businesses, with proven track records. Closing down is NOT an option, we have a loyal following of beautiful locals and a great tourist trade, and the accommodation-side in particular has never been busier. The site itself offers great versatility for live-in owners, and a large block at rear (with dual street access) for further development (STCA😜).
