Back in July we asked Australia's best bartenders to come up with original pisco drinks for our 'Getaway' cocktail competition. The six finalists came to Melbourne to fight it out in front of a live audience at Nieuw Amsterdam and a panel of industry experts including Fred Siggins, Gemima Cody of Good Food and Johnny Schuler of Pisco Portón for the grand prize of an all expenses paid trip to Peru.
The competition was tough but in the end Daniel Gregory formerly of The Gresham but now running his own brand new bar in Brisbane called Seymour's Cocktails and Oysters, was too strong and took out the grand prize with his delicious Four in Hand cocktail made with Porton.
