It's kinda hard to take a picture of with all of the reflection, but next door at .siti is very close to opening. Palestinian grub & events space operated by a rather industrious and lovely young local family. Can't wait to see what's on the menu!

How many would be doing shots of Jager or Jamo at the bar if the taxes weren’t hidden. I.E. you paid the taxes on the spot, a $2.50 fee to have a shot….plus the cost of the drink, rent, labour etc. My guess is not many. It’s just a matter of time before someone is poisoned in Australia by bad booze.

It's out of sorts for me to straight up post a product without any nonsense, memes, or anything attached. There's nothing funny here. I can't think of a haze fan beer that's been this good, ever. It's perfect. The colour is reminiscent of the best U.S. examples, that head lasts and lasts, the aroma is so plush and inviting, the palate so densely packed with flavour, but there's not a single molecule out of place. It's the best beer in this style I've had, period. It puts peak Deeds, MC, Banks to the sword. Buy it all next week. You deserve a treat and this beer deserves to be in your nostrils and mouths. I am shook.

I am bored in hospital so I grabbed the hun, and found this article about Kaiju, excise and the industry as a whole. It says sales went from $6.4m in FY23 to $3m in 25. This is hard to read as their product is terrific and always has been. I love a good bitch session but I don't have anything to bitch about with Kaiju. If these guys can feel the pinch, anyone can. Please think about grabbing a few indie beers this weekend and sharing them with a mate. The industry needs all the help it can get.

I've had some upgrades installed to hopefully improve my reliability, I will be away from the shop for a while but the shop's mum Amanda is opening from 2 Friday, 1 on Saturday and I will advise re next week. Thank you for the well wishes, and I look forward to my escape and seeing you soon.
