Well guess who’s the last man to bed!!
No time to pitch a tent. It’s 4:00am. I need to be up at 7:00. Never got dinner, but I’ve got a replacement engine in the bike and I’m still in the game.
34th today, but that doesn’t mean anything if you don’t get to Dakar. Let’s see what tomorrow brings💪

🆕 We couldn't be more excited to announce our newest partnership with one of the oldest Hard Enduro races – The Roof of Africa that will be taking place from 28-30th November in Lesotho 🇱🇸.
Mitas will be 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗿 for tyre sales and services 🛞 at the race site where 500+ competitors and 100 adventure riders will take on the Lesotho mountain range ⛰️.

This partnership is bringing together two brands historically linked to Hard Enduro racing. We can’t think of a more exciting way to show our dedication and passion to enduro racing than supporting the riders on the Roof of Africa race, that stands as the 𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗘𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗼 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗴𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆, dating back to 1967.

And as a bonus we will run a gripping challenge during the event, the “𝗠𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘀 𝗧𝘆𝗿𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻,” whereby participants will race to see who can change a tyre the fastest, with the winner receiving a Mitas tyre 🛞🤙.

Thanks to my great friends at Mitas I have a wheely big night ahead fitting these tyres and mousse and then maybe a few added grooves to customize the grip for the early Stages of the race.

My tyres of choice for this race:
1. Mitas Enduro Trail Rally-Pro 140/80-18 fitted with the Mitas rally rear mousse.
2. Mitas Enduro Trail Rally SM (for the softer sand Stages) 90/90-21 fitted with Mitas rally mousse.

3. Mitas Enduro Trail Rally MH ( for the rocky Moroccan Stages) 90/90-21.

*There is a chance that the category I have entered may be restricted to the total number of tyres allowed. If this comes into play, I have full confidence in these same tyres I have used on almost every ride project over the past 8 to 10 years. Note the custom fitment of an array of grease ni***es for adding extra l**e ready for successive days of use. It’s all about the finite preparation to reduce the potential of failure. Let’s hope it counts for something!!
