We focus our range on local microbreweries & more obscure imports from cult breweries around the world. Having closed our Fitzroy store in June 2023 we are currently searching for a new location in Melbourne's North East suburbs and accordingly trading online in the interim.

We’re constantly tinkering with our recipes in the endless pursuit of perfect, and this beer represents a huge jump (hopefully) forward in the way we make our IPA’s. We’ve ramped up our wheat additions to 11 to make an extra hazy, extra silky smooth body and then rewritten the book on how we dry hop by reducing contact times with the hops and lowering the beer temperature at the time the dry hops are added to pump up the tropical juice and reduce any unwanted earthy or vegetal notes.

For us, this is a big deal but for you we’re hoping it’s another example of our premium NEIPA’s … maybe a little more juicy, lighter and smoother.

Brewed with our longtime feathered friends from across the Pacific Ocean. This refreshingly sessionable hazy IPA has been brewed with the award-winning hazy kings from Orange County, California.
Inspired by modern brewing innovations, in this beer we have trialled a new dry hopping regime based on our respective expertise to enhance the juicy favours of sweet passionfruit and tangy grapefruit with a perfectly rounded finish.
Ruffle ‘n Feathers is the perfect beer to enjoy with mates in the Spring sunshine, similar to how we enjoyed a few beers with the crew from Green
Cheek when we visited them back in June.” -

“Chasing that feeling, a rush like no other. A super clean and dry body with a certain salinity, inundated with waves of El Dorado LUPO, Azacca LUPO, Galaxy and Simcoe. Super tropical, plenty of the old school, worth it.

A meld of dry and crisp, with new world hops. Tropical fruits, soft citrus and stone fruit on the nose, is balance by a creamy mouthfeel and dry, biscuity finish. Moreish and some salinity, and a wave of hop flavours. Surfs up.” - .co

“Thanks to our mates at Single O, we’ve created a decadent coffee stout that heroes their special Firecracker blend to see out our 2024 Stout Series with a bang.

Inspired by their new coffee bar in Shibuya, Tokyo, and the Sumida Fireworks Festival, one of the many summer festivals in Japan, we’ve added chocolate covered strawberries and black sesame to complement the huge cherry and chocolate notes from the coffee. The result is a layered, balanced stout with an extra milky body for extra indulgence.”

We officially have a new home! It's been a big week but we are so excited to be in! It's a new chapter for Slow Beer and things will be a little different from our Fitzroy store. Another local New England IPA, that while tasty, doesn't hit the mark for me. Big fruity hop character, low bitterness but no haze or creamy mouthfeel. Again, good IPA but if you're expecting a NE IPA, it's not really one. Which begs the question, would you rather Brewers keep their style classifications broad (in this case IPA) or specific but risk not actually hitting the brief? Does it even matter?
