We invite all girls and boys aged 5 - 10 years old (born 2015-2020) to join us for our FREE Woolworths NetSetGo Come & Play Day on Friday 14th February 2025 from 4pm-5pm 🏐

In conjunction with Netball Australia’s nationwide event, this is a perfect opportunity to see what all the FUN is about, and offers activities, games and giveaways, centred around fun, being active, making friends, building confidence and all things netball in a positive and supporting environment.

🔥We are also really excited to welcome 2x Queensland Firebirds players to join in the fun with us! There will be autograph / photo opportunities from 3:30pm🔥

We are thrilled to open registrations for our 2025 Netball Queensland Little Netty’s Program.

The program is open to all boys and girls aged 3 - 5 in Nanango and around the South Burnett and introduces children to the game of Netball, while developing important fine and gross motor skills, as well as team work, cooperation and social skills.

🗓️ Starting Wednesday 23rd April (and running for 8 consecutive weeks until Wednesday 11th June).

South Burnett Regional Council advises people in the South Burnett Regional Council area to AVOID THE AREA due to the flash flooding and damage to roads and infrastructure in the area.

For non-life-threatening flood and storm emergency assistance, contact SES on 132500, 132500.qld.gov.au, or the SES Assistance Qld app on Android or iOS. In a life-threatening situation, call Triple Zero (000) immediately.

What are we expecting?

The Bureau of Meteorology advises that severe thunderstorms likely to produce heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding were detected in the South Burnett Regional Council area. These thunderstorms are slow moving and are forecast to affect the South Burnett area and cause flash flooding.
• Flood water is dangerous because of, wide-spread, and potentially fast-moving and unpredictable flooding
• There has been significant flood damage to roads and dangerous hazards within the area.

What you need to do:

• Stay in your safe place until flood waters go down.
• If you have children make sure they are with you or an adult you trust.
• Some places do not have power. There may also be electrical hazards.
• Share this information with family, friends, and neighbors where possible.

• Go to Council’s website for clean-up and recovery information.
• For general relief and recovery information go to the Get Ready Queensland website (After a Disaster).
• Natural disasters can affect your mental health. If you need help, call any of these groups:

5:20pm South Burnett: Rain and storms are increasing across the South Burnett. Any storms are slow moving and producing heavy rainfall which may lead to an increased risk of flash flooding - especially after the last 48-72hrs and the past few weeks! Kingaroy is in the clear right now, but activity is anticipated to spread into the area over the next few hours.
