The surf is up and the hang is ten at Chas Cole. And if there's one thing you should know is the one writing this has NO grasp on surfing vernacular and should stop. But, fortunately the guys at Bells Beach Brewing do, and they know even more about brewing great beers 🍻🍻

So, we've decided to bring the surf and froths to you! With one helluva competition to win a Bell's Beach branded professional surfboard! All you have to do is purchase any 4 pack of Bells Beach beer from now til December 24th and scan the QR code in store to count as an entry (Yes, you can enter more than once!).

We'll call the competition on Christmas Eve...eve to one lucky winner, so more entries the better! Any questions, staff can help out in store! Tubular! 🍻🌊

𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐖𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: 𝐎𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐮𝐬 (left to right):
𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐬 – Dry Furmint, Hungary/Tokaj Region
Medium bodied white variety from Tokaj in Hungary – Often found in a dry & acidic style you will find it displays a pale gold slightly oxidised hue. Lovely creamy aromas overlying fresh, pure minerality, lemon and grapefruit. Bright, fresh pithy lemon and mouthwatering acidity and a subtle bitter finish.
𝐙𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐡 𝐊𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐢 – Armenia / Vayots Dor Region
One of the best wines from Armenia, using the Areni grape – Thought to be one of the oldest grape varieties around, after pips and stems were unearthed and carbon dated it shows to have unique DNA exclusive to Armenia dating back to 6000 years ago! This rarity of a wine is smoky silky elegance with scents of dark berries herbs pepper and anise. Exotic and textured, a deep and rich wine with great fruit and ﬁrm long ﬁnish and great tannins – Come in and try an ancient variety!
𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐨 – Dogliani, North Italy / Piedmont region
A northern Italy Dolcetto variety, it is deep ruby colour with purple rim, high intensity, plentiful aromas of dark fruit (black cherry, blackberry, plum), floral (violet), liquorice. On palette it has high tannin, m acidity, m body, flavours of dark fruit, liquorice, floral. Would go well with Bolognese, lasagne, or pizza.

Introducing our latest selection of International Wines! (left to right)

1 & 2. Thelema - Chardonnay & Sauv Blanc, a local wine from Stellenbosch, South Africa. Aromas of ripe peach, grapefruit marmalade, blossoms and complex ye**ty flavours complement the toasty oak in the Chardonnay. The Sauvignon Blanc has notes of citrus, grapefruit & refreshing zesty lime & lemon notes.
3. Famille Perrin Wines - A Rhone Valley GSM variety, that is a dry, medium bodied red with hints of fresh cherries and cinnamon.
4. E. Guigal Wines - Another Rhone Valley GSM variety that is dry, full bodied and full with a long intense finish with fresh red fruits and spices on the pallet.
5. Poggiotondo Wines - D.O.C.G Chianti style from Chianti, Italy. Deep garnet in colour along with flavours of dark cherries & spices.

ATTENTION ALL CUSTOMERS

You may have noticed this week major road works occurring in Verner street. These works are planned to last for the next few weeks.

As such access to our store will be effected during the following periods
Monday to Friday 9am-4pm

Normal traffic conditions will be observed after 4pm, as well as weekends and any public holidays.

To access our store car park you have 3 options,

1, access via Yarra street, when you go to turn onto Verner street , mention to the traffic controller you are wanting to visit our store, they will assist you getting access to Verner street.

2, via Apco forecourt, enter off Moorabool street and drive (carefully) thru the forecourt onto Verner street, where you will be able to drive into our car park

3, alley way off Foster street. Access is available via the Moorabool street end alley way onto Verner street.

We apologies for this inconvenience and thank all our loyal customers for your patience and continued support of our local, independent business during this time!
