When you can't travel to France, we bring France to you!!! Friday afternoon from 3.30pm until 6pm, Roman from Propellis wine importers will be in to showcase some of his finest wines from his collections. Starting with:
A growers Champagne from Pascal Walczak - Cuvee Cyries MIllesime Extra Brut
Romuald Petit Bourgongne Chardonnay (organic no oak)
Domaine des Chaumes Petit Chablis - you wont believe there is no oak on this, the minerality is devine!
Domaine de Pouilly 2021 Pouilly Fuisse Chardonnay
and finishing off with
Romuald Petit Cuvee Vielle Vignes Gamay 2022 rich and textural with small oak format and really lovely light tannins

So with all the cocktail recipes we put up before the renovations, I thought it was high time to actually make some and try them out! Today’s concoction CO**SE REVIVER #2
20ml dry Gin
20ml Lillet
20ml Cointreau but I used triple sec because I was out
20ml Lemon Juice
2 dashes absinthe
I coated the glass with absinthe and ice then poured that into the shaker with all the other ingredients and then shook until frozen. Strain and pour into a coupe glass.
I found this quite tart at the beginning with a slight aniseedy flavour and a lengthy bitterness. First sip was a bit of a fright, but I kept going back for more and found it quite tasty! My sister on the other hand wasn’t a fan!! Thanks for the recipe this is the beginning of trying to find my favourite cocktail, I’m definitely up for the challenge wish me luck

Garage Project World Resonance Harmonic Hazy IPA, brewed for WOM Adelaide. Brewed with New Zealand grown Nelson Sauvin, Yakima Valley Citra and South African hop Southern Tropics, it's a hazy IPA with a polyphonic twist. From pitch to packaging the yeast in World Resonance has been sonically stimulated with a specially curated selection of World music, especially curated by WOMAD and played directly into the beer using a submersible speaker. Beer brewed with good vibrations.

Feliz Cinco De Mayo (for tomorrow) – ideas to help celebrate Tequila even more!!

CLASSIC PALOMA – blend shake or stir, for a frozen Paloma put everything into a blender with two really generous handfuls of ice and blitz until slushy; for shaken put everything into a shaker with two really generous handfuls of ice and shake vigorously; for stirred put everything into a mixing glass with a generous amount of ice and stir.
60ml Grapefruit Juice
60ml Tequila
15ml Sugar Syrup
30ml Lime Juice
60ml Soda water
GARNISHES
grapefruit wedge
Lime wedge
Salt for rim of glass
