How to run a big planning day remotely using Microsoft Teams
At our May event James Halprin joined us to run us through the changes in SAFe 5.0.
It's also the first time we've had international community members from South Africa and the United States.
Agile is everywhere, and everyone is welcome!
How to conduct virtual Agile events in Teams
Now we're suddenly working remotely, let's share some insight on how to use Microsoft Teams (or the version of Teams you might be using) to conduct virtual Agile events.
In this virtual workshop Shane will cover how to setup for the:
* Daily Scrum
* Sprint Planning
* Sprint Review
* Sprint Retrospective and
* Backlog Refinement
A Q and A Session will be conducted after.
We will use Microsoft Teams for the event so you can get a first hand walk through of its functionality and limitations.
The Role of a Business Analyst in an Agile Setting
Tren Christiansen, Canberra Branch Chair of the International Institute of Business Analysis, and Shane Wheller from the Canberra Community of Practice discuss the role of the Business Analyst in an Agile Setting in Canberra.
Yesterday's panel discussion at our shared event with the Canberra Branch of the IIBA provided a lot of value. Conclusion: business analysis as some of the work that needs to be done is very valuable.
July's event took off with a presentation on the use of Gamification and the Service Design Approach to building an app for the Australian International Sir Show!
Don't miss out on your seat at the August event, Effective Communication with Joe Schmetzer, next Thursday at 6pm at Oakton.

We had a fun night at the Canberra Agile Community of Practice tonight with four of the team delivering presentations on our Agile journeys using the Pecka Kucha format.
Presenters for tonight were Andrea Anderson, Nicole Cheng and Rizwan Khan - thank you team!
It's hard to deliver content to 20 slides displaying for 20 seconds each, but not impossible :-)
Thank you to tonight's venue sponsor: Oakton
