We'd like to address the following.
Mail service from Australia Post to The General was redirected on the 21.03.24.
On 12.04.24 Aus post collected all uncollected and unclaimed mail held as per Australia post rules.
Mail was sorted and bundled together to ensure nothing was creased or bent.This was done to ease handover to the Kanmantoo store.
At no point prior to this has mail ever been withheld or refused to be given. It is beyond the capacity of The General at Cally to influence whether mail was delivered to us by Australia Post for distribution.
Further, at no point has mail ever been interfered with or tampered as per speculations.
I find it unacceptable that these untruths have been circulated, as much as it has been unacceptable that mark has been accused of illegal activities and been told "I hope you die" by a customer in store.
The harassment and speculation has impacted on Mark and Myself, as we never set out to offend or disrupt, but rather to support the community.
As you know we are going through a tough time. Mark has offered credit to numerous clients and these accounts are yet to be paid. Therefore no further credit can be issued.
Please understand profits are minimal in order to keep costs to locals at an acceptable level.
Fuel and cigarette replacement must be paid up front costing in the thousands. These products are not provided to the store on credit.
Diesel is now available. Fuel will be restored soon, as we have had to repair the tank due to theft damaging the value resulting in contamination.
Mark and I love this community and we are deeply saddened that we have let you down. We are doing our best to navigate this turbulent and emotionally challenging time.
We hope to get back to effectively managing The General and respectfully ask for your patience and understanding during this time.
We aim to be open, honest and clear in our communication and encourage you to message us with any questions, concerns or suggestions.
We hope to see you soon, so we can serve you with a smile on our faces.

For any queries or questions please message the page and I will personally take care of them.
We are not withholding any mail or information, as has been paraded as truth by certain individuals. We are doing our best to keep you up to date with correct details as they are presented to us.
We understand your frustration and we echo it as we donot have any more information at this time present. It is upsetting to me to read mis-truths, open rudeness and be privately messaged threats to myself and the shop.
I endeavour to continue to be open with our communication with the community with transparency of correct information once we are informed from Australia Post.
This is a very stressful time for us and we hope that the community will understand these requests as not ways of Secrecy but to minimise bombardment of extra stress and work authentically on a case by case with each individual, ensuring your needs are met personally with kindness and respect.

The grow free cart has a wiggles bean bag and a foot bath that has been here all weekend.
We love the community sharing, however if it's items that you are unable to move on but leave with us ,we have to either take them to goodwill ourselves or unfortunately dispose of.
Please consider this when leaving items at the grow free cart.

Mail collection hours as approved by Australia post are as follows,
Monday to Friday 2:30 pm To 6pm
Saturday 9am to 11am
No mail will be given on Sundays or outside of these hours.

If you are struggling to collect your mail or parcels from murray bridge due to any reason, I am doing a mail run Tuesday & I am happy to collect for you. Please pop into the shop with some photo identification,sign a consent form and I will collect it to make your life a little easier. I'm trying to help any way I can.
