The trophies are back from the engraver (names obscured by placemats for obvious reasons). Now begins the process of sealing them up with potable water silicone, then cleaning them thoroughly, so that they can be safely filled with beer on Friday. If you’ve never been to Reschmas before, please make this your first. No need to RSVP. Just turn up from 11am at this Saturday (7/12)

Comrades - I have some outstanding news to share going into the weekend. I'm pleased to announce that from this day forward the kind folk at the have agreed to offer our members $6 schooners - all day every day.

$690 ALREADY RAISED FOR MENTORING MEN!

In case you missed the news, during Reschmas a mystery benefactor has pledged to match dollar-for-dollar all donations made to our charity partner Mentoring Men (up to a total of $3000). Needless to say, we are working super hard to max out that $3000 pledge. Over the weekend we got a head-start by raffling off two Reschs Eskies and the net proceeds were a smidge over $665. Once that's doubled by our mystery benefactor, it becomes $1,330!

If you're coming to Reschmas, there will be many options to raise funds for this worthwhile Australian charity. If you can't come, you can still get involved by donating at the following website. All donations are 100% tax deductible:

As much as I ought to get watching the Aussies struggle in Perth, member #2 is ultimately a NSWelshman at heart and day 2 of the Sheffield Shield match, complete with ice cold Reschs, seemed liked a better option. I wonder if any of these guys will be in Aussie team next test match…

CHARITY PARTNER FOR RESCHMAS

It is my great pleasure to announce that for Reschmas this year we will be raising money for a fantastic Australian charity called Mentoring Men. We've supported this charity in the past because their cause is really close to our heart. Check out there website for more information if you're interested.

DONATIONS WILL BE MATCHED DOLLAR FOR DOLLAR!

This year, we've secured some additional funds from a mystery supporter (who will be revealed at Reschmas). That supporter has pledged to match dollar for dollar any donations made to Mentoring Men up to the value of $3,000.

So... it goes without saying that our fundraising target for Reschmas this year is $6,000 ($3,000 doubled) and we are very confident about achieving that goal, but we can only do that with all members support. At our upcoming event we will be selling Bratwurst and Sauerkraut Rolls, Raffle Tickets, and Limited Edition Beer Steins... However, if you're unable to make it to Reschmas in person and would like to contribute, Mentoring Men have set up a fundraising page. Reschmas 2024: Announcement #2
In keeping with the German theme we'll be employing for Reschmas this year, we felt that it would be a shame if we didn't have our own branded beer steins to clink, while singing along with and . Details will be announced closer to the day, but the initiative will be our major fundraiser on the day...
The Steins are 520ml in volume and will feature BOTH the Resch House and RAS logos....

RESCHMAS 2024 - ANNOUNCEMENT #1

Today we've got incredible news to share. We have just locked in two HUGE drawcards for this year's Reschmas event:

(1) First, and most importantly, Mimmo Lubrano has agreed to lead our singalong on the day. Expect such classics as "Reschs Pilsener", "Bring Back DA" and "Reschless"... If he's inspired to do so on the day he may even share a sermon.

(2) Second, we've locked in Sydney's premier Oompa Band for a 1 hour set, from 12:30pm onwards. These guys attended an event back in 2022 and are seriously incredible. Imagine all of your rock favourites, played by an Oompah Band. I remember Livin' on a Prayer being incredible last time.

It is my great pleasure to announce that the Camden RSL Club has now come onboard as a preferred venue and is offering our members middies, schooners, and pints at member prices!
I often find that big RSL clubs can take some time to train up staff and get everything set-up on their Point Of Sale equipment. So be patient in the early days of this one please :)
