It is now time to make some gritty decisions.
Moving forward is scary and will be difficult.
I know that for now, I need to be at home with our kids. Thus, as we start ours, Yield will become someone else's new chapter.

We move forward knowing we are part of a loving community and are so grateful for the continued support.

To all our staff, growers, makers, suppliers, and delivery drivers over the years, I thank you, friends 🙏❤️

To all of you out there who stepped into our lives in the restaurant, the Providore or Cobbers, I will be forever grateful to have met you all ❤️🙏

We are so lucky to be surrounded by so much love and support; it has been overwhelming.

Thank you,
For all the hugs, beautiful conversations, meals, offers of help and support, donations to our GoFundMe, and all the people quietly in the background, I have seen and felt it all, and we are truly thankful for everything.

It has allowed us the time to be present, heal, comfort each other, go for a swim, and stay connected to the memories.

It's not going to be easy moving forward, but knowing we have all the love and support from our community is reassuring and comforts us we will be ok.

We are a lucky bunch of people to have such amazing locally produced food at our fingertips and pristine beaches at our doorstep!

Our Story

Birregurra is where Simon and Kara Stewart first kissed, a sweet dash of trivia which, like every taste, smell, sight and touch at Yield, swells with a deeper connection.

The Stewarts and their children – Scarlett, Ezra and Bobby – live where the couple grew up, in Colac, opening Yield in the Spring of 2018 has given them a cherished platform to extend their home into their workplace, in look, feel and vibe – and in the food they invite people to share as if they’re friends who’ve dropped by and been welcomed with a beautiful meal – Yield is more than the realisation of a dream. It’s a celebration of a way of life.

Connection drives Simon and Kara, their restaurant embodies their belief that dining is an experience best shared with loved ones. The menu underpinned by vegetables grown organically in local paddocks, or in Kara and Simon’s back yard. The dining room’s green walls match their ceilings at home and the crockery fired by local potters.
