Unfortunately, we were unable to attend the Victorian Sprintcar Association presentation night last night. Turns out we missed out on collecting an award. Luckily someone picked it up for us 🙂
Pretty stoked to get this award! Thanks to the VSA, EZPrint, Fourth Designs, all the other teams and drivers and to my sponsors for a great season.

Time for an update for Maxwell Racing followers:
We have made the decision to sell the #45 LS Sprintcar. Although it has been hard to make the decision, we do feel like it is the right decision with everything considered. We have had a great season and learnt a lot. We have met some great people and really enjoyed being involved in an amazing class of racing. It would be great to get back into a Sprintcar again one day, so fingers crossed we can have another go down the track. It would be great to continue learning to tame these beasts. Any teams out there that need a reserve driver, let us know!! In the meantime, there are a few options on the cards that we are currently considering for Maxwell Racing. We are going into another phase of ‘hibernation’ but still keen for some racing. We will post updates once the decisions are made and with our progress later. Thanks for following our journey so far ☺️

Quick update for our Easter weekend.
Rosedale on Friday night was mostly a pretty good night. Unfortunately we had a DNF in the final after getting tangled with a car trying to make a pass. We spun and stopped quickly together and got clipped by another car on our front end.

Bairnsdale was a bitter - sweet night. Had 1 great heat which was very enjoyable but there was about 4 hours between my heat and the final. We played a bit of a guessing game with car setup for the final, but got it very wrong making the car very hard to drive. I did a couple pirouettes with the car just being too loose. On the third spin, I could see cars close behind me so let the car slide to the infield rather than staying on the throttle. That was me finished for the night.

Quick update for the state title last night at Redline.
Had a challenging but very enjoyable night overall.
Very thankful for the support and advice from some of the other drivers with car setup and tried to build confidence and speed as the night went on. Great track conditions, had a lot of fun trying to build more speed.
I managed to stay out of trouble and not get in any of the tangles that put a number of cars infield during the night.
I finished the feature in position 15 after qualifying 20th with 24 cars starting the night.
Big shout out to my crew for the night, Jeremy and Brett, and again to my sponsors for keeping us racing this season. 😊

Quick update from last night at Rosedale Speedway.
Not a big field of cars (10) - it was a non-points round.
Enjoyed some hot laps and started out of 6 for heat 1.
Finished in 6th for heat 1 but struggled a bit handling the car with too much stagger.
Changed our setup for heat 2 - started out of 3 and found myself spinning in turn 3 of the first lap. Was very lucky that David Dennison still has some amazing reflexes and was able to avoid what would have been a rather nasty hit.
The car stalled but when I was push started - it had a funny rattle, so I went infield. We were able to fix the rattle, but I couldn't restart the car - something seemed to be locking it up...and that was the end of the night.
Big shout out to Scott Kennedy who travelled from Melbourne especially to crew and help me out for the night. Was very much appreciated.
Thanks also to the other drivers and crew that have been an amazing support to me along the way. It is also very much appreciated.

Quick update for the next few weeks.
We have been scheduled to race at Rosedale on March 19th. This is a non-points round, but it is great to have another opportunity to run before the Vic Title which is in Ballarat the following weekend.
Maxwell Racing plans to be at both of these meets! Looking forward to it 😊

Unfortunately the drizzle set in and the evening was cancelled. The positives are that we didn’t get out for engine starts, so clean up is easy tonight.
Thanks to the crew at the track working hard to try and get some racing done and to those who had done some kms to support the night.
Hopefully next time we get a run 😌

Well, it was looking doubtful for a while with some significant rain forecast. It’s ok at the moment so the plan is to go ahead hopefully for a good night of racing at Bairnsdale Speedway. Hoping the rain stays away 🤞

We are racing today so get along to the track to see the Ladies Standard Saloons - Curtis Engineering 30 lap switch along with the VSC Sprintcars, Divi 2 Hot Rods, Standard Saloons and the Limited Sportsman (King of the Rock).

The Bairnsdale Speedway is an alcohol free venue. This will be enforced tonight.

Covid check-ins and proof of vaccination is still required.
