SAD NEWS FOR THE HILLS IGA

This Friday morning will be the last shift for our little pocket rocket Sara Rigney.
For 9 years she has been a valuable member of our team always smiling and and giving her best to serve the Alexandra Hills Community. The last 5 of those years she has been an absolute rock, taking on a managerial roll implementing new ideas, overseeing the day to day operations and training new team members. ( she has even given me plenty of training as well) Sara will be commencing her new career as a Primary School teacher on Monday.
Pop in and grab a coffee from her and say your good byes this Friday morning.

It is with great sadness that this post is to inform everyone of the passing of David Lucas pictured here at the bottom left of the IGA table. Every morning For 25 years David would walk up to The Hills IGA at 5am ( sometimes earlier) regardless of the weather and sit with our paper delivery waiting for myself or one of our team members to arrive and assist with the opening of our store. Unfortunately due to a long running health battle David has not been able to be a presence here for some time. That being said the team members here past and present and the customers he engaged with each and every morning would all agree that he touched their lives in some way.
The Hills IGA would like to extend their sympathy to Lyn and the rest of David's family. Rest in Peace mate.
You will not be forgotten.
