Summer and Autumn brings great weather but it also is the pollen season and we have all experienced those small yellow deposits on our cars.
This is combination of pollen and flower nectar deposited by bees and other flying insects who are active over late summer and Autumn.
Pollen looks harmless but it contains sugar which hardens on your paintwork and is very difficult to remove.
The pollen sticks so hard that the normal car wash process is unlikely to remove many of these yellow spots . Care must be exercised to remove these spots as scratching or light scrubbing can damage the paint work.
Warm water and a small amount of soap will soften the pollen deposits and dissolve the sugar to allow removal and it takes a bit of time as there are usually numerous deposits on cars at this time of year.
If you notice these yellow spots on your car, the sooner you remove them the better ,and you reduce the risk of long term damage to your paint.

Time to vent !!!
Google Reviews are part of business life these days and we accept a poor review when we have missed the satisfaction mark . We offer a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee which is clearly displayed in our Wash Tunnel. We welcome the opportunity to inspect vehicles with any issue at the time of wash and we will gladly wash the vehicle again at no cost .
Sometimes cars parked under trees with hard bird droppings or wax from the tree can be a challenge for any car wash.
We are the only auto wash that Preps each vehicle ( except a $10 Bronze Wash) and our Wash Attendants make every effort to address vehicles severely insect impacted.
We washed over 700 cars this weekend and one customer saw fit to leave a 1 Star Review because their window was dirty after the wash. Did she/he give us the opportunity to inspect and rectify…. No, they jump straight on Google and slam us for their dirty window .
As an Owner and someone who washes two or three times a week , to undertake regular Quality Control of our Wash , in 12 years , I have never come out of the wash with a dirty window .

Suns out and it looks like another great week ahead.
We are seeing increasing take up of our VIP Unlimited Wash Clubs , with our Platinum Wash Club , which includes Carnuaba Wax and Free vacuums, by far the most popular.
At $57.50, if you wash twice a week, each wash works out to a little over $7 !!
Even if you was once a week, the cost is $14 for a Platinum Wash which retails for $25 … we think that’s great value.
You can join at the entry terminal and hand the receipt to our Wash Attendant when inside our Express Wash Tunnel.
They will arrange for the RFID tag to be fitted to your windscreen so future access is automatic and seamless .

We are owned by three local Adelaide families who planned and built Softtouch Speedwash which was completed and opened in July 2011.
We searched the World for the very best car washing technology which resulted in Adelaides first and only fully automated Express
Tunnel Wash. We created Softtouch Speedwash as a "Fast, Clean and Green" operation which was friendly to the environment and would offer the very best value for money automated car wash available in Adelaide.
No expense has been spared in our Water Recycling and Reverse Osmosis systems, our 100Kw Solar Array and our maintenance and replacement of equipment to maintain the very best wash delivery.
After 13 years, we have created numerous employment opportunities, and supported local fundraising in the community.

We have an electrical malfunction in our Lane 2 Entry Terminal so unfortunately Lane 2 entry to our Tunnel Wash is out of action until we can rectify . Given the Xmas period, this will take a few days .
Lane 1 remains fully operational so we do not anticipate any significant delays in processing cars through the Wash tunnel.
Our Wash Tunnel is Closed on Christmas Day 🎄🎄

We are experiencing intermittent problems with our industrial compressor which is impacting our operations. Some delays may occur today and tomorrow as the compressor needs to shut itself down to cool down for a short time before it can restart.
We are moving to replace this large industrial compressor on Tuesday, given the long weekend.
Apologies for any inconvenience.

New rTC Tunnel Controller successfully installed and now doing its job managing all components in our Wash tunnel .

OPEN OPEN OPEN…. Finally we have received and successfully installed the replacement Tunnel Controller.
Many thanks to our valued customers and VIP Wash Club members for their tolerance and support during this difficult time.
Wash Club members renewal dates will be extended 7 days to cover the period of closure.

It’s been a very hard week for our Team and in particular Greg Boston who managed to identify the problem and source the replacement unit from the USA in reasonable time.

CLOSURE UPDATE Sat 9th

Our replacement Tunnel Control Module was in Honolulu early this morning and we are anxiously waiting for the next update. Currently we expect delivery next Tuesday or Wednesday.
We ask for understanding from our customers at this difficult time for our business.
We will extend renewal dates for our VIP Wash Club members once we are operational and can be sure on a successful installation of the module.
In the interim ,Gold and Platinum members are invited to use our Self Serve Wash Bays at no cost between 10am and 4pm. Please see our onsite staff who will activate the Wash Bay timer.

We ask our customers to monitor updates here on Facebook as this is the most efficient communication medium for us.
