A fresh dry white (like an Eden valley Riesling) but without all that mucking about in high altitude stuff. In a nutshell, Piquepoul is kind of like Riesling, but with a tantalising ocean mist character about it...

A southern France varietal, this crisp refreshing white has claimed ‘Official Oyster Wine’ status in it's home country 🇫🇷

In Praise of Shadows are up next in our Winemaker Wednesday lineup 🍷

This McLaren Vale-based artisan winery, founded by highly awarded winemaker Brett is best known for their Grenache and Grenache blends, and we're also big fans of their 'Vox Pop' sparkling Pinot Noir.

Plus, they've got a few awards behind them:

🏆 2021 Grenache received a Gold Medal and 95 points in the James Halliday Australian Grenache Challenge
🏆 Mankai Touriga Nacional, Graciano, Garnacha won at the 2021

This humpday, join us at Sideways to try family-owned and run Barossa label Thorn-Clarke Wines 🥂

When: Wednesday, 5pm - 7pm

Pre wine label, the Thorn-Clarke story began back in 1987 with the planting and growing of vines that produced fruit.

For over 10 years, the vineyards developed a fine reputation and the fruit was sold to neighbouring winemakers, who turned it into award-winning wines 🍇

The family's 1998 vintage - where small batches of Shiraz were made through to wine - were the first leap into winemaking, and so began the Thorn-Clarke wine label story.

Stop by and try these Barossa beauties.

Chocolate & SA gin - get around it 🍫

This tasty experimental concoction from 78 Degrees sustainably utilises leftover cacao husks from the chocolate-making process to give this gin a rich, velvety undertone of bittersweet chocolate.

The use of native wattleseed and Riverland oranges further enhances the flavour profile, lending a subtle sweetness and depth 🍊

Expect a unique botanical profile of chocolate, jaffa, orange and hazelnut, making it a perfect cold weather gin to enjoy.

Only the best for this label - Price’s Wines are produced from premium grapes grown in quality soil in South Australia’s McLaren Vale.
