Next wine I truly enjoyed is one of my favorite Champagne houses. DELAMOTTE Blanc de Blanc Vintage 2014! Unique expression combined out of different villages.

Each village has its own style. Le Mesnil-sur-Oger (20%): acidity, purity and chalky minerality. Avize (20%): balance and structure. Oger (20%), warmth, body and generosity. Cramant: smoky minerality. Chouilly: robustness and length. And finally, Oiry: acidity and roundness. To reprise the musical analogy, each territory has its own score and, when they are all played together to create Delamotte Blanc de Blancs 2014, each one can be heard in its own right. It is left to age over six long years…

Another highlight in 2024 - :
The 50 & 50 that is a collaboration between Avignonesi di Montepulciano and Capannelle di Gaiole in Chianti. This wine best expresses the velvety elegance of Merlot and the rustic charm of Sangiovese.

Today 10 years ago I founded Exquisiteur. I am reflecting the amazing journey with wave of emotions. It makes me a bit melancholic to look back on all the 3650 days and the memories I share with most of you on this ride.
It is with my heart filled with both, gratitude and a touch of pride, to be able to call most customers friends and companions by now.

Tailor-made enjoyment, taste profile analysis, wine tours & tastings, pleasure and enjoyment therapies and lately wine storage services – You as my customers have always evolved and shaped the business model through demand and collaboration!
I´d like to express also with this post my deepest appreciation for your loyalty, fun and support you have showed me over the past 10 years which have been the pillars for my business.

Last week an exclusive celebration took place, under the theme “wine, conversation and a little more” – and usually pictures say more than 1000 words.

An absolute highlight of my tasting career.

La Massa - Giorgio Primo 2000 ! One of the few vintages still classified as „Chianti Classico“ before in 2003 Sangiovese was replaced by Cabernet Sauvignon.

The wine is truly at it‘s peak and was an absolute delicious treat with power, length, structure and beautiful aromas.
