Fermasa Bodega y Viñedos
Don Fernando Martins founded Fermasa over a decade ago. Born in Portugal, he spent the first years of his childhood surrounded by family vineyards while daydreaming of having his own winery. He grew up in Brazil, where he performed successfully in the business world, which allowed him to fulfill this desire.
After visiting the main wine zones of Latin America and Portugal, he chose Mendoza to achieve his ambition. Studying the various microclimates, terroirs and vineyards of this region, he found in Luján de Cuyo the perfect place to start his project.
His primary purpose was to produce a wine that stood out for its high quality with affordable prices. A wine that evokes the passion of an expanding continent, dreamy and proud, showing the strength of its land and culture.
The first production occurred during the 2006’s harvest. At this time, we launched our first label Baladero, followed by others labels: Corchea, Jerarquía Reserve and Vinserus. We mainly produce Malbec wines, but also other varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot and Chardonnay.
