About to go to bed when I remembered the northern lights might be visible tonight. Of course I look outside and see nothing and as soon as I put my camera phone up, there they were in their glory. Most people are busy saturating their aurora photos, I actually desaturated them a little because my phone camera saturated them way too much.
I finally ran back into the house to grab my Canon and by the time I made it outside again the lights had started to dissipate. The last two images are with my Canon. I love that they are making it this far south so often these days. 💚💜💙

I finished “The Women” by Kristin Hannah. I really enjoy her books especially “The Nightingale.” I’m about to finish another one called “Tom Lake” by Ann Patchett. So I’m lining up for the next good read.

We really lucked out with weather yesterday with as rainy as it’s been! The trees are starting to turn which created a beautiful backdrop! The day couldn’t have been more perfect
And can I just mention the “Open Mic” during the reception! It was intimate and so much fun. Cheers Scott & Gnora to your first full day as a married couple and a lifetime of love and adventure to come! 🎉

A huge shout out to on what an amazing job she did yesterday! She wore many hats beyond that of a wedding planner! She was a powerhouse! I don’t know many who work as hard as she does. Unstoppable.

Great day celebrating Native American culture at the ( ) Museum of Indian Culture for the Roasting of the Corn Festival yesterday! Many indigenous nations were represented. Highly recommend stopping by the museum to learn about the fundraising project to recreate a Lenape village and learn about local and National Native American history.

The Badlands, is anything but bad.
It was unexpectedly breathtaking, surreal, otherworldly. I was left in awe.

This one..... I can't believe how well this came together. From the soft morning sky, to the yellow flowers to the four birds that flew in and sat on his back just as we were about to pull away. Originally there were three birds but then the fourth popped his little head up and made its way to the top of the Bison. He decided to interrupt my internal voice singing Bob Marley’s “Three Little Birds.” LoL 💚

One of my favorite places on my road trip! We were up at 4:30 to make the sunrise and made it to the Badlands by 5:45! A little later then planned but still a breathtaking view!
