The 2025 Lost Pensacola calendars are currently in stock, but they won't last long! This year's calendar has three new designs: Bellview Junction (i.e. St. Anne's Round-Up), the old Escambia Courthouse & Armory (designed as a pro-union poster during the 1908 streetcar operators' strike), and Shea's Tiki House on Pensacola Beach. It also includes even more local history trivia. Buy it here: https://pensacola.gifts/product/lost-pensacola-2025-calendar/

On the ninth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me: nine local letters.

On the eighth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me: eight cards of greeting.

Eight of the Lost Pensacola poster designs are available as greeting cards: the San Carlos Hotel, Mollie McCoy’s, Frisco Passenger Depot, Pensacola Opera House, Abe’s 506 Club, Spanish Village, Fairnie Hill, and Fort McRee. The cards are 4.5x6” folded and come with white Baronial envelopes. Each card includes a historical blurb about the subject, and the collection of 8 cards/envelopes comes in an attractive bag perfect for stockings.

On the seventh day of Christmas, my true love gave to me: seven inks screen-printed.

The Casino Beach pier may be closing for repairs, but you can remember the original Casino and pier with this beautiful 24x32” serigraph. The newest and most complex print of the Lost Pensacola series, it features five screen impressions, two of which are split fountain gradients, for a total of seven inks.

Previously accessible only by boat, Pensacola Beach officially welcomed tourists with the 1931 opening of two bridges connecting the barrier island to the mainland. The main attraction was the Casino, designed by architect H.S. Harvey, with a 300-person ballroom. Boxing and fishing were also popular activities. As more modern amenities came to Santa Rosa Island, the Casino was increasingly seen as a relic and eyesore. It was demolished in 1972.

Like other Lost Pensacola designs, this print is full of fun historical details and easter eggs. For example, the decorative elements near the bottom are inspired by the columns inside the Casino lobby.

On the sixth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me: six fabric patterns.

Show your Pensacola pride with these fun seamless patterns available from Spoonflower. You can choose from the "Pensacola letter pattern" in two different sizes, or the "Pensacola collage” in four different colors. It’s been wonderful to see what local creatives have done with these fabrics, like the denim Pensacola Pillows by UnConventional, which are “upcycled” from blue jean legs and available at Phantasma on Creighton Road. But you can also order lots of fun items directly from Spoonflower, including pillows, shams and duvet covers, throw blankets, sheet sets, napkins, placemats, wallpaper, and much more.

On the fifth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me: fiiiive neigh-bor-hoods!

The City of Pensacola has some amazing places to live. We already talked about East Hill on the second day, so let’s highlight five other great residential areas in the city: Cordova Park, Eastside, Belmont-DeVilliers (a.k.a. The Blocks), all the folks along Scenic Highway, and East Pensacola Heights ( ).

Each framed neighborhood piece is spelled out using photos of the distinctive lettering from within that neighborhood. Can you identify them all?

On the third day of Christmas, my true love gave to me: three stickers.

These vinyl stickers are great for your car, laptop, or anything else you want to decorate.

The "Pensa-Cola" 3x2 sticker reimagines a certain soda company's 1980s logo with the Pensacola Beach beach ball water tower. https://pensacola.gifts/product/pensa-cola-sticker/

“Save the Alcaniz Oak” was the cry in 1977 when the Interstate 110 offramp threatened a beautiful old live oak tree at Alcaniz and Gregory. Sadly, the campaign was unsuccessful, but you can commemorate the Alcaniz Oak with this 3x3 sticker. https://pensacola.gifts/product/alcaniz-oak-sticker/

Channel your inner Fox Mulder with a 3x3 holographic sticker proclaiming "I Want to Believe" in the Gulf Breeze UFO sightings — even if the "spacecraft" may have been made of styrofoam plates. A magnet is also available. https://pensacola.gifts/product/gulf-breeze-ufo-holographic-sticker/

On the second day of Christmas, my true love gave to me: two East Hill gifts.

Fairnie Hill was the winter estate of Alexander Stoddart, a Scottish-born insurance man who made his fortune in New York. After the Civil War, Stoddart bought large swaths of the defunct "New City" development (what we now consider East Hill). There he invested in road improvements, experimented with different crops and decorative plants (including azaleas), and even drilled for oil near Bayview Park. In the 1880s, he operated a dairy farm near his residence at 12th Avenue and Lakeview.

This 12x16" letterpress print has four inks and was printed locally by Charlotte Mason Printing Company. https://pensacola.gifts/product/fairnie-hill-poster/

There's also a 24x18" matted photo gift of the unique lettering we have in East Hill. Can you identify them all? A few hints: Ozone Pizza Pub, Alga Beer Co., Celebrations The Florist, Wisteria Tavern, and the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart. https://pensacola.gifts/product/east-hill-matted-letter-art/

Both are perfect for anyone who ❤️s living in East Hill!

On the first day of Christmas, my true love gave to me: a view of the San Carlos balcony.

Located at the northwest corner of Palafox and Garden streets, the seven-story San Carlos Hotel opened in 1910 and was expanded in 1926 for a total capacity of 465 rooms. It remained Pensacola’s premier hotel into the 1950s but was affected by the rising popularity of motels. It closed in 1982 and, despite community efforts to revitalize the building, was demolished in 1993. A federal courthouse was built there in 1998.

This 24x32” three-ink screen print shows the “Gray Lady of Palafox” at her most elegant, with a sharply dressed couple chatting on the loggia balcony. Beneath them are bustling crowds while spotlights shine against the Blount Building in the background. This unique Art Deco perspective was informed by extensive historical research and attention to architectural details.
