🔥 NEW ARRIVAL: UNDERRATED – LUCIANO CI**RS ✔️

Underrated uses a Mexican San Andrés wrapper, a Nicaraguan binder, and a unique filler that contains Connecticut broadleaf and Ecuadorian HVA leaves, both of which are more commonly used as wrappers. Then there is medio tiempo from Nicaragua’s Pueblo Nuevo region, leaves that come from the very top of a to***co plant and are known for their distinct flavor profile. But this medio tiempo is unique in its own right, as it came from the 2020-21 crop year, which was hampered by heavy rains and forced the to***co to come out of the field earlier than planned. This harvest then had to undergo a unique fermentation process using lower temperatures and longer time in pilones.

The company calls the profile medium-full in strength with a robust body that captivates without overwhelming, while the flavor has a bold richness as well as a sweetness referred to as candied.

Luciano Ci**rs calls the brand “an ode to the globalization of the cigar industry and its smokers.” Lofty concept aside, the Foreign Affair is an impressive smoke made in Nicaragua and wrapped in a tasty leaf of Sumatra-seed to***co grown in Ecuador. The Costa Rican to***co in the filler gives the Corona a unique bit of X factor. It’s loaded with an array of baking-spice notes such as cinnamon, allspice, ginger and nutmeg. Hints of graham cracker, almond and honey round out the smoke.

Luciano Meirelles, co-owner of Luciano Ci**rs, presented a limited-edition cigar called Maria Lucia that only came in one size. It was named after his late mother. Now, the cigar is a regular-production brand and Meirelles has added three more sizes to the line.

Maria Lucia consists of a Connecticut broadleaf wrapper, two binders from Ecuador (one grown from Sumatra seed, the other Havana ’92) and a filler blend from Nicaragua, the Dominican Republic and Peru. According to the company, the ci**rs are medium-to-full in terms of strength.

The Plasencia Year of the Dragon cigar is a 6 1/2 x 54 Torpedo and the fourth limited edition release celebrating the Chinese New Year. Composed of an all-Nicaraguan blend, Year of the Dragon delivers a flavorful medium to full-bodied experience loaded with notes of cedar, leather, and earth with hints of spice on the finish. Like most Plasencia blends, the cigar is exceptionally balanced and smooth. This should easily go down as one of the best releases of 2024. Production is limited to just 3,000 boxes.
