New rules outlined by China's coast guard that could result in the detention of foreigners should not cause any concern, a Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson said on Wednesday, after Philippine President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr said the rules were an escalation and "worrisome."

The rules aim to standardize law enforcement and better uphold maritime order, Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said at a regular news conference. There is no need for any individual or entity to worry "as long as there is no illegal behavior," Mao added.

This photo was taken a few months ago, before Typhoon Noru (Karding) hit Manila last September.

So it means the ships capsized / sunk even without a typhoon doing it.

Surprised that the Philippine Navy was able to hide the news when there are a lot of ships and boats passing near Sangley Point, with the sunk ships visible definitely visible.
