MICROBIOLOGIST, MASTER DISTILLER, SPIRITS CONNOISSEUR ⁠

Our co-founder Dr Lukas Radosa is the brains behind the quality of our spirit formulas, starting with . Animal Spirits has stemmed from an idea he had while working as a microbiologist at King's College London about 5 years ago: ⁠

"What if I could use my knowledge in natural products research to create a new kind of spirit, inspired by personality types? Which combination of ingredients would evoke the character of different animals? Could a sip of this spirit be an invitation to explore them?" ⁠

As a true scientist, he rolled up his sleeves and got to work – and before too long, side by side with his afterwork gin-infused lab experiments, he completed a distiller's course at the Institute of Brewing & Distilling and immersed himself in spirits as a connoisseur – obtaining the Level 3 Award in Spirits led by Hannah Lanfear of The Mixing Class for WSET School London.

Four days to go until we launch a signature cocktail featuring for Luna - The home of live music in Leytonstone, in collaboration with the award-winning bartender Rasty Kasar.

The signature cocktail will perfectly capture the spirit and the history of LUNA - and we can’t wait for you to try it and hear all about it!

Come along and celebrate it with us in this early evening of classic gin cocktails, storytelling and live jazz.

Except for sipping and learning about gin cocktails, you can also meet the team behind Animal Spirits and learn how came to life - and to LUNA. All the while listening to a brilliant jazz band - of course.
