Mount Horrocks Wines Boutique Winery in the Clare Valley South Australia. All our wines are Certified Australian Biodynamic and Organic, made with estate owned/grown fruit.

Mount Horrocks Wines is operated by proprietor / winemaker Stephanie Toole, who restricts production to approximately 2,000 cases per annum. Stephanie carefully crafts her wines, which she describes as “essentially hand made food wines with emphasis on structure as well as generous fruit flavours”. All wines are 100% Australian Certified Biodynamic and the grapes are all estate grown, hand picked,

then only the finest French oak is used for those wines spending time in barrel. There are seven wines produced under the Mount Horrocks Wines label:

Riesling
Semillon
Rosé
Nero d’Avola
Shiraz
Cabernet Sauvignon
Cordon Cut Riesling

Mount Horrocks Wines was established in 1982, purchased by Stephanie in 1993 and in April 1998, Stephanie opened for cellar door sales in the renovated Auburn Railway station. Substantial renovations and landscaping of the station and surrounding railway yards have resulted in a showpiece for Auburn and the Clare Valley. It is open Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays 10am-5pm for tastings. Under Stephanie’s direction, Mount Horrocks Wines has been widely recognised by experts and wine lovers alike:

And our final legend inducted to the Clare Valley Wine Hall of Fame is Stephanie Toole, Mount Horrocks Wines’ Owner.

Winemaker Stephanie Toole carefully crafts “essentially hand-made food wines with emphasis on structure as well as generous fruit flavours”. Stephanie is a trailblazer in producing A grade certified organic and biodynamic Clare Valley wines that are suitable for vegans and vegetarians. Only estate grown grapes are used and these are hand-picked and gently handled to ensure the varietal and site-specific flavours, as well as its organic and biodynamic status, are retained. For this reason, she has developed an award winning national and international Clare Valley wine brand. Throughout her career, she has contributed to the Clare Valley region through her role as chair of the Clare Valley Winemakers and tourism associations., always showcasing the Clare Valley in the front of mind. She continues to support the Clare Valley Wine & Grape Association generously by contributing to tastings, hosting workshops and attending events on behalf of the region.

Stephanie Toole inducted into the Clare Valley Wine 'Hall of Fame'.

Mount Horrocks owner /winemaker Stephanie Toole has been awarded Legend status, in acknowledgement of her outstanding contribution to the Clare Valley, at the region’s ‘Hall of Fame 2024’ ceremony.

''I am delighted and humbled to receive this acknowledgement and to be in such esteemed company" says Stephanie.

First held in 2014, 2024 marks the second Hall of Fame induction. It acknowledges those who have played a major role in the development of the Clare Valley region and its wines.
