In just a period of one week, DOT Secretary Christina Garcia-Frasco, and DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian visit Samar for two separate big program launchings for tourism and social development.

DOLE Undersecretary Felipe Egargo, Jr. also joined Garcia-Frasco in Basey last Tuesday, March 16.

Malacañang appoints Eric Zerrudo as the new Executive Director of National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA).

Zerrudo heads the University of Santo Tomas - Center for Conservation of Cultural Property and Environment in the Tropics and is a proponent of cultural mapping in the country. He will replace Oscar Casaysay.

He is a consultant to the PLGU Samar for projects like Cultural Mapping, big Tourism Projects, and social programs like OneValues.

Governor Tan, Congressman Mike, other officials launches Samar Provincial Police Office Building

The 29.1M building will stand on the 2-hectare lot donated by the Provincial Government through Gov. Sharee Ann Tan. Its funding source is the General Appropriations Act CY 2023, with the Department of Public Works and Highways 2nd District Engineering Office as the implementing agency, and the JFR Construction as the contractor. - Governor Ann Tan says.
