Jernigan Oil and Propane Company and Duck Thru Food Stores have teamed up with the Soldiers and Airmen Assistance Fund to participate in The North Carolina National Guard Boot Campaign. For the entire month of November 2024, we will be selling the "Boots" pictured below for $1 at all Duck Thru locations.

The North Carolina National Guard Boot Campaign provides assistance to the families of NC National Guard members. 100% of the funds from the campaign go directly to the Soldiers and Airmen Assistance Fund.

From September 1st through October 31st, Duck Thru will be participating in the Shell Community Pump Program at ALL Shell locations!!! The Shell Community Pump Program allows different Shell locations who participate in the Program to assign one of their fueling dispensers as The Giving Pump. A portion of the sales from each of The Giving Pumps will be given to the children’s charity of the Shell location’s choice. Jernigan Oil and Duck Thru have chosen the “Shriners Hospital for Children” as the children’s charity for the Shell Community Pump Program. Jernigan Oil Company has a long standing history with Shriners International. Pump 1 at every Duck Thru Shell location is The Giving Pump! We look forward to participating in this program and encourage customers to use The Giving Pump!

We would like to thank all of our dedicated employees and loyal customers for helping make 2024 the best year of fundraising for Corona Cares in our 9 year history of participating. 48,705 Limes were sold this year in stores, we are thankful for our vendor, Novelty Express, for donating $2,000 to our Lime total, and Jernigan Oil Company will be donating $4,295 to raise a grand total of $55,000 for the UNC Lineberger's Comprehensive Cancer Care Center to benefit the North Carolina Basnight Cancer Hospital. Since Duck Thru has been participating in Corona Cares, we have raised $265,000 and looking to make next year even better!

Congratulations to Duck Thru 60, 26, and 59 for being in our top 3 for Limes Sales. Duck Thru 60 sold $7,326 in Corona Cares Limes and did so with great motivation ( )! This is the highest single year total for any one store.

!!!CORONA CARES ALERT!!!! It's Corona Cares month! For the entire month of August, all Duck Thru locations will be selling the Corona Cares Limes that benefit the North Carolina Basnight Cancer Hospital. With the purchase of each Lime, you will be able to select an individual to honor from your purchase and that individual will be written on the Lime. Corona Cares offers support to patients who experience financial hardships. This can be caused by a range of issues, from the expenses of traveling long distances for appointments at the N.C. Basnight Cancer Hospital to missing work while receiving treatment, to the challenges of paying insurance copays while also covering routine monthly costs, such as utility bills, rent and groceries.
Over the past eight years, the Duck Thru team has raised over $210,000 for Corona Cares and the N.C. Basnight Cancer Hospital with plans on making 2024 the best year yet. That money is not possible without our hardworking team members and the best customers around! Thank you for making Corona Cares possible and for helping those in need!
