It's officially Xmas week and we're celebrating with Sangria made with fabulous red wines you can find @metroliquorbc 🍷💃 Sangria comes to us by way of Spain and Portugal and has a long and rich history that dates back to the Middle Ages and was originally aged wine mixed with fruit and spices, such as cinnamon. This version of sangria is light and bubbly with the addition of seltzer water and the perfect ratio of wine to brandy. Adding seasonal fruit and garnish makes it perfect for the holidays! SalÙt! Best Ever Red Sangria Recipe via Delish ✨ INGREDIENTS 1 (750-mL.) bottle Red Wine (check out our flyer for featured reds) 1 cup Orange Juice 1/2 cup Brandy 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar 1 Orange, sliced 1 Apple, sliced 1 cup Sliced Strawberries 1 cup Cranberries (festive garnish) 1 (12-oz.) can seltzer *In a large pitcher, mix together wine, orange juice, brandy, and sugar then stir in all fruit. Refrigerate until ready to serve, preferably 2 hours. Top off with seltzer before serving. Is there anything better a nice cup of hot chocolate on a Winter day? 🤔 Yup - a delicious glass of naughty hot cacao made with any or all of the favourite festive liquors that you can find here @metroliquor! Trust us it's better. 😉🍸❄️ Naughty Hot Cacao Recipe * 1 cup skim milk or preferred milk * 1 packet hot cocoa mix * 2 marshmallows * 4 oz. Bailey's, Carolan's &/or Kahlua * 1 cup ice *Heat broiler. In a small saucepan over low heat, heat milk. Stir in hot cocoa until no lumps remain, then pour mixture into a cocktail shaker. *Place marshmallows on a baking sheet and broil until browned, 1 to 2 minutes (keep an eye on them!). *Add liqueur and ice to shaker and shake until combined. Pour into glasses and top each with a toasted marshmallow. Serves 2. Enjoy! *Products available while supplies last.
