Bocca di Lupo Aglianico was acquired by Antinori in 1998- putting Aglianico and Bocca di Lupo on the radar for wine lovers everywhere.

Aglianico is a red wine grape native to southern Italy.
It produces full-bodied red wines that show musky berry flavors with firm tannins and good aging potential, and it pairs best with flavourful dishes such as Beef Brisket, Osso Bucco, Oxtail, Spicy Sausages and Duck Confit.

Aglianico is often compared to nebbiolo, and it has been called the “nebbiolo of the south”, but it’s quite different, generally darker, less red-fruited, more rugged and rustic.

Bocca di Lupo Aglianico is a small production every year, and is certified organic from the 140-hectare Bocca di Lupo estate in the heart of Puglia’s Castel del Monte DOC appellation.

We are pleased to partner with on this exclusive limited release wine from Puglia.

Edmond CORNU & Fils’ holdings are spread throughout the villages of the northern tier of the Côte de Beaune. Their wines are recognized as some of the best from Ladoix, Aloxe, Chorey and Savigny.

Currently, the estate comprises 15 hectares, 13.5 of which are planted to Pinot Noir and the rest to the classic white grapes of Burgundy.

The 2000 Flaccianello della Pieve has hints of rose petals, sweet spices, and licorice— giving it more femininity— which is somewhat unique for other vintages of this wine.

Aside from the conditions of the weather and soil in the year 2000, this uniqueness could partly be attributed to the fact that until 2001, Flaccianello della Pieve used fruit sourced from a single-vineyard.

This wine pairs great with a variety of foods like lamb, cheeses, and authentic Tuscan dishes.

The Domaine Morey-Coffinet is the result from the meeting of Chassagne-Montrachet patrons, Marc Morey and Fernand Coffinet.

Together, they have grouped several of the best soils of the famous municipality of the Golden Triangle from the Côte de Beaune.

At Westhampton Fine Wine, we offer a large selection of their white burgundies. Morey-Coffinet’s consistency of balance and purity does not compare.

Spicy Margarita Recipe🌶️🍹

Ingredients:
-1/4 jalapeño pepper, sliced
-1 ounce blanco tequila (clase azul, herradura, or casa dragones)
-1 ounce orange liqueur (Cointreau, Grand Marnier, or triple sec)
-1 ounce fresh lime juice, plus lime wedge for the glass rim and garnish
-1/2 ounce agave nectar or simple syrup
-ice
-Tajín or kosher salt for the glass rim

Method:

-Prep rim of the glass, rub lime wedge around rim of a rocks glass. Fill small dish with tajín or kosher salt. Dip glass into the tajín or salt to coat the rim. Fill with ice.
-Muddle the jalapeño in a cocktail shaker
-Add the tequila, orange liqueur, lime juice, and agave nectar, and ice to the cocktail shaker. Cover and shake until chilled.
-Strain into your prepped glass. Garnish with jalapeño and lime slices and serve.

The vines of Casa Setaro are planted in sandy volcanic soils of Vesuvio, but cooled by breezes coming from the Gulf of Naples. Their Falanghina shows unique minerality, citrus blossoms, peach and bitter orange, all underpinned by subtle evergreen and fresh almond.

It ferments in stainless steel for around 20 days, then spends six months in steel and an additional two months in bottle before being released for sale.

This wine is crisp, yet full of juicy fruit, savory minerality and bright acidity, and pairs best with shellfish and vegetarian dishes.

Frog’s Leap Estate Grown Cabernet Sauvignon 2020 from Rutherford, Napa Valley, California offers flavors of cedar and black olives with aromas of crushed herbs, sliced plums, and violets.

Frog’s Leap has been in Rutherford since 1981, and for decades it has been their goal to produce a Rutherford AVA, estate-grown Cabernet Sauvignon— inspired by the early Cabernets of Inglenook and Beaulieu Vineyard.

This Cabernet Sauvignon has a velvety, plush mouth feel and pairs nicely with venison and most all beef dishes.
