Built this Tea Box for a farmer based in Guimaras. It's a combination of African walnut, Honduran mahogany, African white wood, and Beech. The insides are lined with suede to give a good contrast. Splined joinery, and hidden hinges were used. The handle was carved from beech as well. No nails, no screws.

In many cultures, the wheat symbolizes abundance and prosperity, and was thus chosen as the focal point of the piece. African Whitewood was carefully carved to contrast the straight grain of the background. The personalization was masterfully designed by

Built this 10-slot watchbox for a farmer based in Guimaras. It's a combination of African walnut, African white wood, and Beech. The insides are lined with suede to give a good contrast for the watches to "pop" when stored. Splined joinery, and hidden hinges were used. The handle was carved from beech as well.

The lines are carefully inlaid, making that "pause" on every line for the gñuebto settle, before doing a new one. The abstract intersections were considered to contrast the straight grain of the piece. The personalization was masterfully designed by .

A former colleague had this piece commissioned for Rep. Singson for the holidays. She wanted something unique for the congressman. This is a 10-slot watchbox made from African walnut, inlaid on European Beech, and African white wood. The initials were engraved as requested for personalization. To have the watches stand out and look more like showcase pieces, the divisions were made low, and lined with suede. No nails nor screws were used in the piece, and everything was built from scratch. Took time to finish, but it was a delight to see and feel once done.

Thank you, client for trusting me with this, kahit na it took a bit of time. I hope the recipient likes the piece, as much as I enjoyed making it. (Not tagging you yet so I won't ruin the surprise).

Every year, I get orders for these phone holders. They're unique, useful, and economical. This year, I decided to make them in spalted yakal to add to it's charm. I'm astounded how gorgeous they are in matte finish!

There are only a few major Farms that produce the world-renowned Guimaras mangoes -- all the rest are either their contractors, or coop. As many would make it, this is not mango season in that area. Somehow one farm managed to be productive during the rainy months, and are now gearing up for a good harvest this coming December. ;) If I read the lines correctly, they'll be the only ones to produce fresh Guimaras mangoes come Christmas season.

Part of their preparation is to build a special store in their farm, to display their produce in the most unique and aesthetic way. As such, the Fil-Scottish family commissioned a few produce boxes to start, and eventually grow into local, expat, and export sales.

These produce boxes are made of Mahogany, with handcrafted Cebu solihiya. The vents are strategically placed to make sure the produce stays fresh through proper ventilation. The inside is food-grade finished with beeswax, and the placed with absorbent lining. It opens and stays at a 90-degree angle, and the outside is treated with a high-gloss finish. It's topped off by engraving their custom logo on the front. The pieces are finger-jointed, and save for the latch, no nails nor screws were used in the build.

I'm happy that there are no revisions on the pieces, and that their only request is to have it signed by the maker. For that, I am truly humbled.

These are on their way to Guimaras on Thursday. May they bring more sales to the farm, and live up to the world-class identity of it's produce.
