We don’t mind the cold from the warm room, in front of the fire and a glass of port in our hand.
The Van Zeller Ruby is matured in large oak vats called ‘tonels’, which keeps its young red fruity characters of cherry and raspberry.
In the mouth it is full bodied and dense with clear tannins with some fruity nuances evocative of plum and black fruit jam.
Good with Blue Cheese, Fruit cake and, dare to mention, Christmas pudding.
