Tonight I was cruisin 66 after dropping Aug off and the lighting at the shop was so good, I had to pull over and there were some people snapping pics in the lot! I was like…hey…you want to come in, I own the place! I think they thought I was making it up! Met this cool couple from Spain who owns .tattoostudio and a couple other guys from Maine! The Route truly is a magical place. 🇪🇸

We are thrilled to announce that the Western Motel has been selected to receive a grant to enhance our signage. We will be replacing our current sign with a stunning neon display, thanks to a grant with the Oklahoma Route 66 Association being funding by the Route 66 Centennial Commission.

The Story of Buck Atom

Buck Atom’s Cosmic Curios on 66 is a gift shop celebrating the magic of Route 66 The Mother Road. Buck Atom is a Space Cowboy whose mission is to help celebrate the Route’s past and bring LIFE to its future! Buck was once a hard working cowboy who rodeoed up and down Route 66 when one day he was pulled up into the ether in 1950! Over the years, Buck has been peering down from the celestial skies onto The Mother Road and he could see what magic was once there, and he had a mission to help bring life back! In May of 2019, Buck himself in 21 Foot Muffler Man form landed in Tulsa, Oklahoma at 1347 E. 11th Street where he now resides. LET’S RODEO!!! (As my dear friend and Route 66 guru Michael Wallis says!)

Temporary hours at Bucks! Open Wed-Sun 11-4. Limit to 4 people in the shop at one time, masks encouraged and we will be sanitizing after each guest leaves the shop!
