GPM Investments Seeking to Hire 5,000 Employees

Company offering retention bonuses and other incentives over the course of the summer

GPM Investments, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of ARKO Corp. (Nasdaq: ARKO), is currently looking to hire 5,000 employees, including filling open, seasonal, and turnover positions in its stores located in several states, including full-time and part-time opportunities at all levels. This serves as the company’s latest move to offer more opportunities for workers in their local communities.

During the pandemic, GPM embraced new ways of hiring and interacting with candidates. The company implemented a texting software as an avenue to communicate and engage with candidates. GPM also adopted an efficient and convenient virtual interview process, which has positively improved the overall experience for candidates and hiring managers.

Full-time GPM employees receive a wide variety of benefits, including 401(K) with company match, incentives, paid time off, health, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability coverage. Part-time associates are eligible for paid time off and certain benefits. GPM pays its employees weekly and also partners with PayActiv, a technology platform that provides employees with financial services, allowing employees to gain access to earned wages prior to their scheduled paycheck.

This summer, GPM is also offering retention bonuses and other incentives for employees at multiple levels, including associates, store managers and district managers.

Interested candidates can apply at https://gpminvestments.com/careers/.

Arie Kotler, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of ARKO
“We’re looking forward to bringing even more employees to the GPM family as new opportunities are available for thousands of individuals this year,” said Arie Kotler, Chairman, President and CEO of ARKO. “The entire economy continues to face a tight labor market, and I’m confident that our benefits package and convenient virtual interview process will help us in this hiring effort as we look for energetic, customer-oriented, individuals to help fill these positions.”

GPM Investments Teams Up with MDA to Run a Holiday Campaign to Raise Funds for People Living with Muscular Dystrophy, ALS and Related Neuromuscular Diseases

Richmond, VA – GPM Investments, LLC, the seventh largest convenience store chain in the country and operator and fuel supplier of approximately 3,000 convenience stores in 33 states, along with over 10,000 store associates are teaming up throughout the month of December for the “Tis the Season for Giving” holiday campaign to support the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA). GPM Investments and its customers have contributed more than $1.4 million since 2012 in support of the MDA's mission of transforming the lives of people living with muscular dystrophy, ALS, and related neuromuscular diseases through scientific and clinical research and care in local communities nationwide.

"We're honored to work together once again in our communities during the holiday season to help support MDA services, fund research and care for people living with muscle disease in the communities where we operate,” said Arie Kotler, President and CEO of GPM Investments. “For more than 6 years, our stores, associates and customers have made the holidays a season of giving back through this campaign to raise vital funds for individuals and families affected by neuromuscular diseases in our communities.”

From December 1st through the 31st, GPM Investments associates in its 1,350 company-operated locations will sell MDA holiday pinups for $1 and invite guests to round up their purchases to the nearest whole dollar to support MDA families. “We are extremely grateful to GPM Investments and their associates, customers and supplier partners for their continued support for MDA that helps us fund groundbreaking research and innovative care for families living with neuromuscular disease,” says Donald S. Wood, PhD, President and CEO of MDA. “It is because of partners like GPM Investments that MDA has been able to pursue our mission of transforming the lives of the people in our community, and we are very appreciative of their partnership.”

About MDA:
For 70 years, the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) has been committed to transforming the lives of people living with muscular dystrophy, ALS, and related neuromuscular diseases. We do this through innovations in science and innovations in care. As the largest source of funding for neuromuscular disease research outside of the federal government, MDA has committed more than $1 billion since our inception to accelerate the discovery of therapies and cures. Research we have supported is directly linked to life-changing therapies across multiple neuromuscular diseases. MDA's MOVR is the first and only data hub that aggregates clinical, genetic, and patient-reported data for multiple neuromuscular diseases to improve health outcomes and accelerate drug development. MDA supports the largest network of multidisciplinary clinics providing best in class care at more than 150 of the nation's top medical institutions. Our Resource Center serves the community with one-on-one specialized support, and we offer educational conferences, events, and materials for families and healthcare providers. MDA Advocacy supports equal access for our community, and each year thousands of children and young adults learn vital life skills and gain independence at summer camp and through recreational programs, at no cost to families. During the COVID-19 pandemic, MDA continues to produce virtual events and programming to support our community when in-person events and activities are not possible. MDA’s COVID-19 guidelines and virtual events are posted at mda.org/COVID19. For more information, visit mda.org.

In an effort to help those who have been hurt by the economic impact of COVID-19, GPM Investments is teaming up with Feeding America to raise funds to help in the fight against hunger in their local markets. It has been estimated that in just 2020 alone, 54 million people may face hunger due to COVID-19.

"Unemployment continues to be a problem, and many people are faced with the stress of figuring out where their next meal will come from,” said Arie Kotler, CEO. I am proud that our more than 10,000 dedicated store associates and our millions of customers will raise money to help fight hunger in their communities.”

From July 15th to September 8th, GPM Investments associates across all company-operated locations will sell Feeding America pinups for $1. Customers will also have the opportunity to round up their purchase to the nearest whole dollar or just make a donation. GPM is also partnering with its supplier community and raising additional dollars through their generosity. All proceeds will remain in the local communities in which they were raised.

“Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the need for food assistance has exploded while donations of food have decreased. Food banks across the entire country are working tirelessly to provide meals to children, families and seniors who face hunger. We are thankful to the GPM Investments team for helping our neighbors in need and for providing our network the support to fight hunger in their communities and remain strong and resilient during this challenging time,” said Casey Marsh, Chief Development Officer at Feeding America.
