Throughout history, there have been eras that served as snapshots of a moment frozen in time. And none captured a more enthralling, mysterious era known as Belle Epoque, or, the Beautiful Era.
Defined as the period between 1871 and 1915, it was a time when the golden age of creatives who resided in Paris ruled under the hypnosis of the โGreen Fairyโ.
And this is the love story we bring you today, on Valentineโs Day. The love story between The Green Fairy and Van Gogh. Well known for his love for absinthe, Van Goghโs best paintings were rumoured to be drawn when he was under the influence of the Green Fairy, pieces like the Starry Night and Self Portrait.
And what better way to commemorate such a love, such a day, by unveiling our very own BRAT Van Gogh NFT, inspired by the artist himself, and the whimsical Green Fairy. Along with the swirls and spirals that many consider to be his signature, this piece tries to bring across the Green Fairyโs influence on Van Goghโs thoughts and in turn, his talent and art.
We hope that this will symbolise the beginning of a great working relationship with our partner โ Absente, and also with our artistโs journey into the realm of art, one that is successful, well received by critics and general public alike.
