Our Story
The Store was created in 1976 by central Wisconsin local and entrepreneur Butch Schierl. At the time, convenience stores were uncommon - in fact, The Store was the first convenience store-style business offered in the Central Wisconsin region. Ever since, the convenience store market has expanded greatly, moving into the large, impersonal corporate world/ Meanwhile, The Store holds onto
its trailblazing, local roots and has been building on that heritage ever since. Currently, The Store has grown to include 26 convenient locations throughout Central Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. At The Store, convenience and fast, friendly service are not only an expectation, but a guarantee! At The Store, we are passionate about giving back to the communities in which we do business. A number of fundraisers and campaigns take place throughout the year to raise money for worthy local causes, such as neighborhood Salvation Army branches and animal shelters. The Store also offers an extremely versatile rewards program, Impact Rewards+, that honors you for doing business with us. Happy Anniversary!
Please help us congratulate four members of our admin office team who have anniversaries this month. Brett is celebrating his 4th year with our Marketing team. Dave has been a Regional Manager with our Convenience Stores for 4 years! Karla is marking her 7th year as a Retail Support Representative. Lily has been with us for 8 years and is now one of our Regional Managers with our Subway divisions. Thank you all for your hard work!

πΎ Meet the purr-fect trio: Binx, Onyx, and Azkaban! π€ These adorable fur balls are not just pets, they're cherished members of Lilly's family all the way up in Michigan. Lilly, one of our amazing Associate up in our Menominee, MI location. Lilly shared that Binx, is a curious adventurer and was the first to paw his way into Lilly's life. Named after the immortal Thackeray Binx from the magical world of 'Hocus Pocus', he's just as enchanting! π Two months later, Onyx made his way into the family and is named after the Pokemon character! These feline siblings have a daily ritual of chattering away at the birds and turning bed-making into an epic game of hide and pounce. π¦ποΈ Fun fact: When Binx was just a tiny kitten, Lilly found him snuggled up in his food bag one morning, a purr-fectly cozy spot for a catnap! πΉAzkaban is only a year old and was rescued from the Green Bay Humane Society. She LOVES to sleep with her Mom every night and loves to sing. She gets cranky and likes to knock over her food bowl if she has to eat alone! Meet Telly! πΊ Telly is a member of Kristin S.'s family! Kristin supports our Admin and Marketing teams in more ways than we can count! Telly is a 10 year old Orange Tabby who was adopted from the South Wood County Humane Society in 2015. Kristin describes him as being the sweetest, most easy-going kitty who LOVES to be with people. Weighing in at 20lbs, he is an expert cuddler as well. Considering he is an Orange Tabby, he is also has a mischievous side! He learned how to rattle the doorknob or bang on window blinds whenever he wants to drink water from the tub faucet (even when it is in the middle of the nightπ) Stay tuned for more pics of scaly friends from our Team Schierl family!
