An off night with the camera limits photos from another fine dinner Blackbird Kitchen & Cocktails. 2018 Dressel 19.2 is an excellent skin contact amphora Caprettone from Bosco De' Medici in Pompeii. It deftly handled all of the small plates. But we needed a 2018 Croatina from Luca Canevaro -Derthona Timorasso- for the pasta. All in all, a great birthday treat.

Domilise's Restaurant is the one place I eat at on every visit to NOLA. The women are so warm and gracious. First time trying the delicate catfish, briny oysters and beefy roast beef. But the shrimp with a root beer might just be sandwich nirvana. Such a wonderful place.

Seriously impressed by the complexity and dichotomy of flavors Maypop. Almost every dish provocative and delicious. 2016 Analemma Wines Blanc de Noirs was lovely. 2012 Von Othegraven Kanzemer Altenberg Riesling Kabinett was sublime even if more like a Spatlese.
