Moving away from all the smoke and haze that many Mezcals express in spades, Madre’s blend of sweet Espadin and piquant Cuishe is a perfect first taste for a new Mezcal drinker, as well as a great everyday sipper for the Mezcal aficionado. Sage and campfire, sweet turned earth. The finish is clean and lingering, underpinned by subtle smoke and florals. Each small-batch release is bottled in recycled glass and hand numbered. Go.

Welcome to WINONA, a bottle shop on Sydney’s Northern Beaches focused on natural wines, craft beers, artisan spirits and handmade objects from all over the world.

As proud purveyors of living wine, we support small producers working with organic, biodynamic or sustainable practices in the vineyard and minimal intervention in the winery. We seek out wine made with grapes only, brimming with naturally occurring microbiology rather than the 70+ additives floating around in conventional drops. It lives! It grows! It’s real! It’s from the earth!

The beverages we stock are not only textured expressions of terroir, but they also evince the personalities of their makers with stories and histories embalmed in each bottle. We hope you enjoy them as much as we do.
