VinoFreitag: Iva Měřínská Gewürztraminer Kvevri 🍷 Ever tried kvevri wine? This ancient Georgian winemaking method—fermenting and aging wine in buried clay vessels—brings out bold textures and complex flavours. This Gewürztraminer from @ivinovino spent 8 months on skins in the vessel, developing layer upon layer of cinnamon, dried orange peel, beeswax, and exotic fruit. Despite its tannic structure, it’s surprisingly light and elegant, perfect to sip and watch evolve in the glass over the course of a whole evening... (or even several days if you’re that patient 😅 Pair it with spicy dishes, Asian cuisines, or indulgent pork belly.
