Travelling has always been a big part of my life.

During my childhood, our family travelled all over Europe and as far as Africa in a VW Beetle and we slept in a tent. It was the children's job to inflate the air mattresses and when they were full of air were we allowed to jump into the refreshing waves of the sea. I continued and extended this long-standing and cherished tradition by traveling all over the world with my own family. Inspired by m

any different cultures and colours I looked for jewellery that empowers women: bold pieces that demonstrate strength, boost self-confidence and make you happy. At a time when more and more people are thinking about sustainability, people are also considering whether they need new clothes all the time. The solution is to have just a few basic pieces of clothing and to spice them up with a different beautiful necklace every day. It is important to me to focus on sustainable products, such as glass drinking straws and the matching brushes should of course not be made of plastic, but of natural sisal.

The Nasrid Quarter of Benaocaz, near Ubrique, dates back to medieval times, and is the oldest and best preserved part of the municipality. It was under Muslim rule until the War of Granada. It is made up of ruins of old houses, some of them stately. Its streets still preserve the Nasrid layout and the original cobblestones.

The 15th Andalusian Artisan Cheese Fair in Villaluenga del Rosario took place from April 5-7, 2024.

This cheese fair has been attended by some 30 artisan factories from the eight Andalusian provinces, which presented more than one hundred varieties of cheese.

It is a regional cheese fair, which brings together cheese producers and lovers from all over the world, with a multitude of activities, workshops, tastings, conferences and shows to be enjoyed by almost 30,000 visitors.

The tower (torre) del Mayorazgo is part of the defense walls of Vejer and has been built between the 13th and 14th century by Sancho IV. Access to the tower is through the Casa del Mayorazgo and its patio filled with lovely well-tended plants and flowers. The views from the tower are gorgeous.

Along a comfortable walk along the Castillo beach you will discover that you are walking along the end of a sandy bar, the Punta del Boquerón. Through it you get to know two very different ecosystems that live in close contact with each other: the dunes and the marshes.

The Punta del Boquerón, declared a Natural Monument, the Urrutia battery and the nearby castle of Sancti Petri, both considered assets of cultural interest, are enough attractions to walk these two and a half kilometres along its comfortable walkway or along its perfectly marked footprint on the sands.

On one side we have the Sancti-Petri channel, one of the best preserved marshland areas in the Bay of Cadiz Natural Park. On the other is the beach and next to it an area that may or may not be submerged, depending on the tides. Further inland, the dunes, the accumulations of sand due to the effect of the wind.

There are few buildings on the Atlantic coast that exert an attraction like the fortress of Sancti Petri on all who see and visit it. At the foot of the fortress lies one of the most important temples of antiquity, that of Melkart, where the mighty Hercules found his final resting place.

It is located directly opposite the pretty fishing village of Sancti Petri and is connected to the Iberian Peninsula by a Roman road that magically becomes visible at low tide. It is said that historical figures such as Hamilkar Barkas, Julius Caesar and Hannibal were in this mythical temple.

This breathtaking balcony on the coast of Chiclana exudes all its magic during indescribable sunsets and on hot summer nights when you can watch the stars.

The Majaceite river path (See more photos and videos on our Instagram page: @besitosvejer) This is a pleasant walk from El Bosque to Benamahoma, in the Sierra de Grazalema, accompanied by the river Majaceite, which is also called the ria of El Bosque and is the habitat of the elusive otters. During the walk you will discover an excellent gallery forest; poplars, ashes and elms. You will also see the Pinsapar fir trees which are unique in this area.
