THE 48 LAWS OF POWER, is a Book written by Robert Greene that offers a Series of Strategies for Obtaining and Maintaining Power in various situations, here is a summary, study them and practice;

October 14, 1966. America's Time Magazine Wrote This On The Horrific Massacre Of Igbo's In Kano.

“Blood Curses. The massacre began at the airport near the 5th Battalion's home city of Kano. A Lagos-bound jet had just arrived from London, and as the Kano passengers were escorted into the customs shed, a wild-eyed soldier stormed in, brandishing a rifle and demanding ‘Ina Nyamiri?’- Hausa for 'Where are the damned Igbos?' There were Igbo's among the customs officials, and they dropped their chalk and fled, only to be shot down in the main terminal by other soldiers.

“Screaming the blood curses of a Moslem holy war, the Hausa troops turned the airport into a shambles, bayoneting Igbo workers in the bar, gunning them down in the corridors, and hauling Igbo passengers off the plane to be lined up and shot. From the airport, the troops fanned out through downtown Kano, hunting down Igbo’s in bars, hotels and on the streets. One contingent drove their Land Rovers to the railroad station, where more than 100 Igbo's were waiting for a train, and cut them down with automatic weapons fire.

“The soldiers did not have to do all the killing. They were soon joined by thousands of Hausa civilians, who rampaged through the city armed with stones, cutlasses, machetes, and homemade weapons of metal and broken glass. Crying ‘Heathen!’ and ‘Allah!’, the mobs and troops invaded the sabon gari (strangers' quarter), ransacking, looting and burning Igbo homes and stores and murdering their owners. Garbage Trucks.

“All night long and into the morning the massacre went on. Then, tired but fulfilled, the Hausas drifted back to their homes and bar racks to get some breakfast and sleep. Municipal garbage trucks were sent out to collect the dead and dump them into mass graves outside the city. The death toll will never be known, but it was at least 5,000.

“Somehow, several thousand Ibos survived the o**y, and all had the same thought: to get out of the North. Many were packed onto a Southbound train. The management of large companies operating in Kano chartered every available plane. All told, 1,400 Igbo's were flown out of Kano alone last week.

Advice to all employees

1. Build a house earlier. Whether rural house or urban house. Building a house at 50 is not a feat. Don't get used to government homes. This comfort is so dangerous. Let your whole family have a good time in your home.

2. Go home. Don't stay at work all year round. You are not the pillar of your department. If you fall dead today, you will be replaced immediately and operations will continue. Make your family a priority.

3. Do not run after promotions. Master your skills and be excellent in what you do. If they want to promote you, it's good if they don't, stay positive for your personal development.

4. Avoid office or work gossip. Avoid things that tarnish your name or reputation. Do not join the moving train that bites your bosses and colleagues. Get away from negative gatherings that have only people as a program.

5. Never compete with your bosses. You will burn your fingers. Don't compete with your colleagues, you're going to grill your brain.

6. Make sure you have a secondary activity. Your salary will not support your long-term needs.

7. Save money. That it is automatically deducted from your pay slip.

8. Borrow a loan to invest in a business or to change a situation not to buy luxury. Buy luxury with your profit.

9. Keep your life, your wedding and your family private. Let them stay away from work. It is very important.

10. Be loyal to yourself and believe in your work. Staying around your boss will alienate you from your colleagues and your boss could finally drop you when he leaves.

11. Retire early. The best way to plan your outing was when you received the job letter. The other best time is today. From 40 to 50 years old, be outside.

14. Start a project while still in service or working. Let your project run while you are at work and if it does not work well, start another until it works viable. When your project is working hard, retire to run your business. Most people or retirees fail in life because they retire to start a project instead of retiring to lead.

15. Pension money is not to start a project, buy a stand or build a house, but it is money for your maintenance or to maintain yourself in good health. Pension money is not used to pay tuition fees or to marry a young woman, but to take care of yourself.

16. Always remember, when you retire, never be a case study for living a miserable life after retirement, but be a model for your colleagues to also think about retiring.

17. Don't retire just because you are done or are now a burden on the business and just wait for your day to die. Take your retirement young or while being energetic to enjoy the alarm clock, to have a cup of coffee, to enjoy the sun, to receive money from your company, to visit a beautiful place that you missed and to have a good time with family. Those who retire late spend about 95% of their time at work than with their families and that is why they see it difficult to spend time with their family when they retire but end up looking for another job until they have no other job, they die early.

18. Retire to your home rather than government housing so that when you retire, you can easily integrate into the company that raised you. It is not easy to adapt to live in a place after spending more years at home or at home.

19. Never let your benefits make you forget your retirement. The job benefits are just intended to relax, finish while the weather is moving. Remember when you retire, no one will call you a boss if you don't have a viable business.

20. Do not hate to retire because one day you will retire either voluntarily or involuntarily. I hope this will help you see life positively.

The Police in Anambra have arrested and detained a catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Aniebonem, and five other persons for allegedly belonging to the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB).

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports from Awka on Friday that the information is contained in a press release to journalists by Mazi Chris Mocha, Director of Information, MASSOB.

The statement indicated that Aniebonem and five others were arrested on Wednesday, September 27, by the anti-kidnapping unit of the Nigeria police at Awkuzu, Oyi Local Government Area (LGA), Anambra.

Mocha said that three persons had earlier been arrested when the police raided the group’s office along Awkuzu/Otuocha road, Ifitedunu, Dunukofia Local Government Area of the state, on Monday, 25 September.

The statement noted that Aniebonem, who works at St Patrick’s Cathedral Church, Awka, hails from Ifitedunu town, and got involved when he visited the State Criminal Investigation Department, Awkuzu, on account of his in-law.

Mocha said that the priest had gone for Chief Sylvester Dinyelu, his 87-year-old in-law who was arrested by the police to seek the reason behind his arrest and possibly secure his release considering his age.

He said instead of briefing the priest on reasons for Dinyelu’s arrest, the police arrested the Reverend Father on the suspicion that he too might be a member of the movement.

Mr. Udebunu Anachuna, the driver of the priest who drove him to the station, was equally arrested alongside Mr. Christian Ifeji, Johnson Anagor, and Mr. Kanayo Madu on the same allegation.

Mocha said that a similar development occurred in Onitsha when one Mr. Mathew Ani was also arrested on Tuesday, September 26, on an allegation of belonging to the Indigenous people of Biafra (IPOB).

He said that the random arrests by police need to be checked as their actions are against the principles of the right of free association and movement of the citizens as contained in the Nigerian constitutions as amended.

“We have just engaged the services of our lawyer to ensure the early release of the men, including the 87-year-old man,” Mocha said.

The Police Command Public Relations Officer, PPRO, in Anambra, Mr. Tochukwu Ikenga (DSP), confirmed the arrest and detention when contacted.

“Our operatives working on reliable information, raided their office along Oyeagu Ifitedunu road on Monday, September 25.

He said that a lot of incriminating items and unpatriotic materials showing the movement’s disloyalty to the Federal government were found there.

“Temporarily, the case is still under investigation as I talk to you,” he further disclosed. (NAN)
