High rainfall along with warm temperatures and high humidity levels, creates ideal environments for mosquito breeding.

It is important to protect babies and toddlers from harmful diseases mosquitoes can carry.
👶 Dress them in long, loose-fitting, light-coloured clothing that covers their arms and legs.
👶 Use mosquito-proof mesh on doors and windows so mosquitoes can’t come inside.
👶 Use mosquito-proof netting over prams and strollers when outside.
Mosquito repellents can also be used to protect your kids, but it is important to read the label for the age recommendations.

101 lives lost on South Australian roads already this year, and every one is a son or daughter, mother or father, husband or wife. The thoughts and prayers of the whole State remain with the Stevens family, and with all families who lost someone.
Road safety is everyone’s responsibility, as we can all be impacted by its tragic outcomes.

In honour of 101, Commissioner Steven’s family would also like to raise awareness on the importance of organ donation and ask those reading this to talk about organ and tissue donation with your family and friends. With organ donation, you can give a precious gift of life to someone in need.

To register for organ donation is easy, go to www.donatelife.gov.au

South Australia Police always make every effort to ensure lives lost on our roads are recognised as people – not numbers.

Today, Commissioner of Police Grant Stevens and his wife Emma want to introduce the 101st life lost on our roads this year – their youngest son, Charlie.

In honour of 101, the family would also like to raise awareness on the importance of organ donation and ask those reading this to talk about organ and tissue donation with your family and friends.
