Flash back to last year Christmas Market! It Seems like a lifetime ago and a lot has change - Sam has grown his hair for one!
We’ve missed not being at countless festive fairs this year, drinking our famous Mulled Gin to keep us warm and having long chats with strangers about gin.

Hallows Eve has got us outside mixing potions inside pumpkins 🎃
We’ve concocted a a Pumping Gin Fizz to celebrate this most spookiest of nights and welcome the full moon 🌕
We began by making a pumpkin syrup flavoured with cinnamon, ginger, vanilla, clove and nutmeg.
This festive syrup, muddled with lemon juice, King Stone Gin and bubbles makes for the biggest of treats on the trickiest of nights.
This recipe is based on two people sharing one 500ml pumpkin.
100ml King Stone Gin
25ml Pumpkin Syrup
25ml Lemon Juice
Bubbles to top
Cinnamon stick and zest of an orange to garnish.

We are now proudly stocked at Moreton-in-Marsh’s newest edition to the high street 🍸🍷🙏
If you haven’t already you need to pop in to Moreton Wine Merchants and marvel at this lovely creation. You’ll find a great selection of Burgundy & Bordeaux, as well as some more obscure finds from China and Brazil. There’s vinomatic machines (wine tasting vending machines) and a bar with some huge potential as we move closer to Christmas.
Lookout for tastings, pop-ups and collaborations over the coming months.

Last week we told you about winning a gold medal 🥇 at the International Wines & Spirits Challenge. 272 medals were awarded- of which 22 were gold and only 5 of those received 96 points (including King Stone Gin) 🥳
Then - the International Spirits Challenge which regards its self as the most influential and authoritative spirits competition in the world only went and issued us with a bronze medal at the tasting awards 🤩
As a small gin brand amongst giants it’s very humbling to be able to go up against the big brands in the industry and compete at an equal level- being judged on what really matters - taste.

It begins in 1500BC when the King Stone was erected to create the 3rd instalment of the archaic Rollright Stones of Oxfordshire. Similar to Stone Henge and Avebury this Neolithic stone site has seen celebration and rituals dating back to the Bronze Age.
Ascending from the Cotswold Hills like the Rollright Stones themselves, King Stone Gin forges a relationship between the ancient heritage of the sight and the area of outstanding natural beauty it’s produced within.
King Stone Gin is the brain child of Sam; a son of the Cotswolds who spent many years traveling the world making wine. In those years he has explored his passion for craft drinks, extending his taste buds and refined his palate as he’s gone. Along the way Sam has met people from all walks of life that have spurred, enthused and driven him to come back to his home-land of the Cotswolds and produce something of his own.
Steeped in tradition and heritage King Stone Gin is distilled in a one-shot distillation method using a 30L copper-pot still. One-shot meaning, we add our base spirit which comes from barley and our 9 botanicals to the still and macerate (soften or become softened by soaking in liquid) for 12 hours.
The result- a Mediterranean style gin; elegant, natural sweetness on the nose which is the product of Orange and Liquorish Root, supple earthy notes from the Dandelion and Angelica Root with some floral components from the Elderflower. The palate is silky smooth and dangerously easy to drink neat, just enough sweet juniper but not to the over-baring. A timeless tipple if you ever taste one.
