Our Annual Awards Banquet will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2022 @ 5pm at the Oliver Township Fire Hall (184 Bodenhorn Rd., Punxsutawney, PA 15767).

Tickets will be free of charge for drivers, crews, families, and our track workers and sponsors, but you must RSVP by February 1st. The banquet will be catered by Chris's Catering.

***Please note that we have moved start time for tomorrow (Saturday) to 6pm!!! Pits and Grandstands will open at 3pm.***

Tonight will be the ULMS Super Late Models $10,000 to Win Jim Garman Memorial Race and Pro Stocks $1,000 to Win plus Semi Lates, Pure Stocks, and FWDs
Then tomorrow, September 25th will be the Triple Nickel 55 ULMS Super Late Models $10,000 to Win and the Pro Stocks $1,500 to Win race plus Semi Lates and FWDs.

Thanks to Steffey Heating, Plumbing and Construction for the $100 Hard Luck Award for both nights!

Semi Lates will be raised to $800 to Win both evenings and FWDs will be paying $350 to win. Pure Stocks will be raised to $400 to Win on Friday evening.

Special thanks to the Penn Ohio Series for donating $500 to 1st place for the Saturday evenings Pro Stock race.

ThunderFest 2021 is almost upon us!!! Two full nights of action packed racing!!

On Friday, September 24th will be the ULMS Racing Series Super Late Models $10,000 to Win Jim Garman Memorial and Pro Stocks $1,000 to Win race plus Semi Lates, Pure Stocks, and FWDs
Then on Saturday, September 25th will be the Triple Nickel 55 ULMS Super Late Models $10,000 to Win and the Pro Stocks $1,500 to Win race plus Semi Lates and FWDs.

Semi Lates will be raised to $800 to Win both evenings and FWDs will be paying $350 to win. Pure Stocks will be raised to $400 on Friday evening.

9/10/21: Season Championship

Knox Dale: Friday night marked the end of the points running for 2021 at Thunder Mountain Speedway with champions being official after double points. The Subway of Clearfield Semi Late Models were first trackside for their twenty lap event with Nick Loffredo and Ed Connor leading the field to the green. Connor secured the early lead as Nate Smith moved into second over Nick Erskine before Austin Getch slowed in turn four with mechanical issues. On the restart, Joe Loffredo and Kyle Shannon battled it out for third before Shannon secured the spot coming out of turn three. With the checkers out, Ed Connor went on to lead green to checker to collect the feature event win. Ed Connor is the official 2021 Semi Late Model points champion. Connor was followed by 2) Nate Smith 28N 3) Kyle Shannon 11 4) Nick Erskine 5X 5) Nick Loffredo 9N 6) Cheyenne Reed Jr 12JR 7) Joe Loffredo 9J 8: Kevin Geist 135 9) Andy Vancuren 516 10) Austin Getch 71A. Heat winners were Nick Loffredo and Ed Connor.

Second for the evening were the Triple Nickel Distillery Super Late Models with Jon Lee and Chris Hackett bringing the field trackside. Lee and Hackett were tied for the points lead coming into the evening. Lee jumped out to the early lead as Hackett and Jared Miley battled for second. Miley would secure the second position coming out of turn three. Jon Lee would not look back and go on to collect the feature event win as well as the points title. Jon Lee is the official 2021 Super Late Model points champion. Lee was followed by 2) Jared Miley 10 3) Chris Hackett 33 4) Doug Eck 20 5) Jamie Mertz 8. The lone heat winner was Jon Lee.

The Legends Powersports Front Wheel Drive Four Cylinders were up next with Chad Greeley and DJ Clark bringing the field to the green. Jeff Huber and DJ Clark battled for the early lead as Greg Kiehl moved into third over Joe Huber. Clark would pull away from Huber for the lead and go on to collect another Thunder Mountain victory. With double points, the Huber boys of Jeff and Joe tied for first in the points running with both having 423 points. Jeff Huber is the official 2021 Front Wheel Drive Four Cylinder champion due to having more wins over Joe Huber. Clark was followed by 2) Jeff Huber 42 3) Greg Kiehl 13 4) Bradley Brown 11B 5) Joe Huber 8H 6) Chad Greeley 27 7) Tondra Brown 04 8: Isaac Irvin 14i. Heat winners were DJ Clark and Chad Greeley

Finishing off the evening were the Watt Logging Pure Stocks with Tim Steis and Justin Watt bringing the field trackside. Steis and Watt would battle for the lead as Bill Mumau moved into third over Jake Foradori. With five laps to go, Mumau secured the second position over Watt as Steis went on to stretch out his lead. The checkers were out with Tim Steis snagging another 2021 feature event win. Steis and Watt had a great battle going on all season for the points title. With a two point difference, Tim Steis is the official 2021 Pure Stock points champion. Steis was followed by 2) Bill Mumau 871 3) Justin Watt 00 4) Jake Foradori 14 5) Lester Hudson 24 6) Casey Wolfe 6/2P 7) Harold Brown 74B 8: David Lowe 21. Heat winners were Justin Watt and Tim Steis.

Camping Information for ThunderFest 2021 Sept. 24- 25, 2021

We still have a few camping spots available for ThunderFest 2021! As most know we have limited space to work with so that is why we will have a cap on camping spots. You must contact the track by Facebook messenger or email us at [email protected] for a spot.
We will not be charging for these spots. Once you request a spot, you will be assigned a camping location and assigned a number. You will be placed in a spot in the order we receive the requests.
Once the reserved spots are all claimed that is all that will be allowed. If you come Thursday or Friday without having a reserved spot given to you prior, you will have to find another facility to camp at if we are at capacity.

Reserved Spots are 20ftx50ft. That includes your awning and slides. The spots are not on level ground.

There will be camping attendants at the track making sure you park correctly.

We will need to cancel the race for Sept 3 due to a staff member testing positive for COVID. We just want to keep everyone safe and we feel this is the best thing to do. We will be moving Season Championship to next Friday Sept 10
