One week from today on Saturday 24th August Orkney Souvenirs will close at anchor buildings in bridge Street and start the process of relocating to our new shop in Victoria Street (between sutherlands and Bruce's stores). With a bit of work to do in the new premises and some family commitments in the next few months I will be looking to reopen on November 4th. I hope all our customers will be able to find us there.

New delivery of jigsaws just in. I have been told though that due to a mechanical breakdown in the factory some of the new titles will be unavailable till at least November. Hopefully some exciting things in these boxes though.

After a few set-backs the shop is finally open again 10am till 5pm Monday to Saturday. Here is a spoon I did a while back for a friend though. I thought it came out pretty good.

Just got some new stock of water bottles. The kilt and Highland cow bottles have proven to be popular and there is now a slightly smaller squirrel bottle. All bottles come in a gift box.

I'm sure most of you will be aware of my shop dog Ruby but what you might not be aware of is our range of cat and dog products. There are cat and dog bowls, cat collars, dog coats in Royal Stewart or black watch tartan and sizes small, medium and large and collar and lead sets also in sizes small, medium and large and they come in Royal Stewart tartan, black watch tartan and various Harris tweed colours.

Lots of new stock arriving in the shop just now. I thought I would post a few pics of children's kilts from 6 months to 14 years for girls, 6 months to 10 years for boys, bodice kilts from 1 to 4 years and waistcoats from 3 to 8 years.

It feels like coming out of hibernation but from today the shop will be back to opening 10am to 5pm Monday to Saturday. Looking forward to getting new things in and getting the tourist season going again.
