The Trans Haryana Expressway.
This Expressway runs between Ambala and Kotputli and was completed within a RECORD time of just 26 months.
This Expressway will help vehicles coming from Maharashtra, Gujarat and Rajasthan, going towards Punjab, Himachal, Pradesh, J&K and Ladakh, completely Bypass Delhi-NCR, reducing traffic jams and pollution to a large level in that area.
Facts and features about this Expressway project:-
✅ This Expressway starts at Kotputli, located over the Delhi-Mumbai highway (old NH-8, now NH-48), near the Haryana-Rajasthan border and ends at the city of Ambala(Punjab-Haryana border), over the Delhi-Srinagar highway (old NH-1, now NH-44), from where, highways to Chandigarh, Himachal pradesh also splits off.
✅ The total length of this expressway is 227 kms, and the total cost of construction is Rs 8650 crores. More than 1800 hectares of land were acquired for this project(1 hectare=2.5 acres).
✅ This highway has a designed speed of 120 km/hr.
✅ More than 3,65,000 trees will be planted on both sides of the expressway, as well as over the divider.
✅ Work on this started in June 2020, and was opened on 1st August,2022, completed at a Record time of just 26 months.
✅ Work on this expressway is divided into 8 packages, and most of them are executed by Gawar Construction company.
✅ It will have a total of 122 structures, including bridges, flyovers, Vehicular underpasses and culverts.
✅ This project will also be connected to the upcoming Delhi-Mumbai and Delhi-Amritsar-Katra expressway projects, currently under construction.
✅ This expressway will pass through 8 districts of Haryana, namely Kuruskhetra, Kaithal, Karnal, Jind, Rohtak, Bhiwani, Charkhi Dadri and Mahendragarh.
✅ Built under by the National Highways Authority of India(NHAI), under the supervision of Union minister of highways Shri Nitin Gadkari, this project was a special demand of Haryana CM , who is also personally supervising this important project, which will completely transform central and southern Haryana, which were neglected most of the time.
