When Kari Bagnall, and the Jungle Griends Primate Sanctuary BoD, voted to buy a property, make it livable, and have BoD Secretary Sara Smith and her husband Shannon move in, were they skirting around the IRS rules on Self-Dealing or trampling over them? You decide. A new Series of videos called “Exposed” kicks off today with the video “The Fixit”. Twenty-seven minutes long, it’s full of information. Today I’m releasing episode 5 of the Lost Tape Anthology. It is the last episode that depends mostly on Bagnall’s 1996 video, “So you think you want a Monkey?” Clearly, after episode 2, Bagnall exposes herself as a past monkey breeder/broker. Still, I wanted all the episodes published where Friends of Kari (FoK) can be sent for the truth.
Soon, there will be follow up videos that rely less on Bagnall’s 1996 tape and more on Public Records, Follow the Plan and Follow the Money.
Follow the Plan will use real timeline events to demonstrate that the so called “rescue” of the breeder monkeys was not a spontaneous event, but months in the making. Follow the Money sites a financial timeline leading to the fall of “Your Jungle Friends”
and it’s metamorphosis into Jungle Friends Primate Sanctuary. https://youtu.be/vohDPutREnE

Though Kari claimed to have sold everything, she kept a home on Marmalade Lane for nearly 2 years after purchasing this A Frame. The latter was more suitable for a monkey breeder/broker. Watch this short video of a staged endorsement. https://youtu.be/B1ZhBbw7ywc

Episode 3 – A Stolen Monkey has posted.
There are a few points I would like to make but let’s address the gorilla in the room. Bagnall’s 1996 video, “So you think you want a Monkey?” shows two scenes that transition with an uninterrupted voice over.
In the first clip, Bagnall introduces a monkey family, “our breeder monkeys”. A male and a female white face with an infant clinging her back. Then the next clip. The baby, in a home, bottle feeding.
We didn’t see the baby pulled. We didn’t hear “baby screaming, mother crying”. You know it happened.
Let’s move on. Bagnall conflates her “pulling the baby” (1994) story with her “breeder rescue” story (1995). Check out the attached image for the dates. If the first incident caused the second, it took a year to pull out that charge card.
OK, after 26 years, memories blur and the stories improve. Been there, done that. But here’s the thing. In the source video, Bagnall says that she contacted the breeder. She told him, “I want to learn more about monkeys, can I come help?” Did this internship last from 94 to 95? With what did Bagnall help? What did Bagnall learn?
I urge you to watch time marker 02:20. Bagnall says, “it’s not the intent of this video to encourage the average person to BUY a monkey as a pet. Most people don’t realize the huge commitment that they are getting themselves into.”
Ok, a fair caveat emptor, but make no mistake, this new Jungle Friends was open for business. Monkey business.

In episode 2, we saw Bagnall with a satisfied customer and her new monkey baby, Bonnie. Both Bagnall and the customer, await the birth of what they hope will be a male, to be Bonnie’s brother/boyfriend Clyde. Bagnall says, “and WE expect him any day”. How does this fit into Bagnall’s story of Jungle Friends Primate Sanctuary’s origin? We re-visit that story and share some startling footage in episode 3: A Stolen Baby.

Be sure to watch 2:20 and 2:38.

Kari’s story is that Jungle Friends began when she rescued those 16 monkeys. This is what the video told me. Lovette, bought Bonnie (later to be known as Bonnie LV) two months before the video was recorded. I’m pretty sure she bought it from Kari. Lovette is waiting for a male baby monkey to be born so she can buy that one...from Kari. Kari says that she is checking on the mother every day to see when the baby drops. Is Kari breeding? Find out in episode 3, airing at 1 pm Eastern.

Ok. So, episode 2 is up and it speaks about Kari rescuing 16 monkeys from the breeder. But of those 16 rescued monkeys, only 7 of them flew to Gainesville with Kari in 1999. Two adults didn't make the trip (Beastly and Lisa). Of the 5 juveniles and 2 infants also rescued that day, none got a seat on that flight. Feel free to join in with comments and questions. If you haven't seen the video yet, be sure to drop down and click the link.
1. Tara, Juvenile White Face. Doesn't take the rescue flight to Gainesville. Don't know where she went but in episode 5, Kari says she went to a good home.
2. BJ, Juvenile Brown (though everyone is calling them weepers in the video). Does not get on that plane. Goes to Kari's sister Cindy. We'll see him in episode 4.
3. Ernie, Juvenile White Face. Well, Ernie takes a later flight. Earnie seems to go to Susan Schneider, current member of Jungle Friend's Board of Directors. Later, Susan surrenders him to JFPS. So, Ernie was rescued from the pet trade by...Kari, sold into the pet trade by...Kari, and then rescued again from the pet trade by...Kari. Getting dizzy here!
4. Beaver is a Juvenile Mono Guenon. Don't know what happen to him but he missed his flight too.
5. Bert, a Juvenile Mono Guenon, doesn't make the flight either. All we know is from episode 5. Kari names him and says he went to a good home.
6. Infant Roseanne or Rosie, a Brown. Looks like she's with Susan Schneider too. Maybe. Wasn't on the plane either.
7. Lastly, there's Crash a white face infant. No ticket to ride. Maybe Kari can help us out with Crash.

OK, Kari. You hand over your credit card and pay $27,500 to rescue all the monkeys. Wow! Heroic. Four years later, Beastly, Lisa and the 7 named above are all missing. Rescued them how, exactly.

Episode 2 recounts the 1995 timeline when Kari rescues several monkeys from the breeder, forming Jungle Friends Primate Sanctuary. It introduces the bill of sale, now in our possession. Kari bought sixteen monkeys that day. Only seven ever made it to Florida. Where did they all go? We name six baby monkeys Kari sold. In the episode we meet, Bonnie, the first on the list. Others appear or named in episodes to come.

Well, the first episode is out there now. I know...a bit to much Kari for most people's taste. I apologize for that. But we did establish that the "Your Jungle Friends" video was simply a video sales brochure. Jungle Friends was not about saving the monkeys from breeders. Meet the new boss. Same as the old boss. Episode 2 also has Kari in it. (OK, Kari's in all of them. What do you expect from a video produced by a narcissist?) In episode two, it becomes even plainer that Kari was a breeder. We also list, the names of most of the known baby monkeys Kari sold. They are either featured in Kari's video, or mentioned by her. See you tomorrow night at 5pm eastern!

The Lost Tapes Anthology was produced to answer many questions. Questions about Jungle Friends’ beginnings.

The Lost Tape Anthology is a montage of clips from Jungle Friends 1995 video, "So You Think You Want a Monkey?" It peels away Jungle Friends deceitful facade, layer by layer.

Episodes will be aired each Wednesday and Friday at 5pm Eastern starting tomorrow. There are 6 episodes.
