An Egyptian scarab bracelet from the tomb of Tutankhamun (1341-1323 BC), made from gold, lapis lazuli, carnelian, turquoise and other semi-precious stones.

The scarab was deified in Ancient Egypt. Its form was related to the god Jepri in graphic representation (human body and scarab face). However, it was usually known as Ra, the creator of the universe, one of the most important gods in the Egyptian pantheon.

🌊🚢🦆🧸 In January 1992, the freighter ‘Ever Laurel’ lost a container with approximately 29,000 plastic toys, mainly rubber duckies, in the Pacific Ocean. Months later, these ducklings began to appear off the coast of Alaska, more than 3,270 kilometers from the incident. This event allowed oceanographers to study ocean currents in an innovative way, tracking the path of the ducklings through the oceans. Some of these toys traveled vast distances, even reaching European shores years later. This phenomenon provided valuable data on ocean dynamics and the dispersion of objects in the sea.

In Wroclaw, the charming dwarves are much more than quirky statues—they’re symbols of resilience, creativity, and the power of peaceful protest.

Originally emerging during the 1980s as part of the "Orange Alternative" movement, these little figures were a playful, subversive response to the oppressive atmosphere under communist rule.

Today, as they dot the city’s streets, the dwarves invite both locals and visitors to explore Wroclaw’s rich history through a lens of humor and art. Each dwarf stands as a reminder that even small acts of creative defiance can leave an enduring mark on a community, transforming everyday spaces into vibrant expressions of freedom and hope.

For over 6,000 years, Egyptian blue has fascinated the world with its intensity and durability. It was the first synthetic pigment ever created by humanity, born from the fusion of silica, calcite, copper, and natron at high temperatures. The Egyptians used it to decorate temples, statues, and tombs, associating it with the sky and divinity. But its story doesn’t end there: this pigment continues to amaze modern science thanks to its ability to emit infrared radiation, which has allowed it to be identified in ancient artifacts without damaging them.

Today, blue continues to evolve and inspire both art and technology. What began as a discovery in ancient Egypt has become a symbol of human innovation and creativity, transcending cultures and eras.
