Let's pop open some Bubbly! 🍾

We have two great options of bubbles to help you celebrate the holiday season! The Jaffelin is made of 100% Chardonnay and the Laurent Perrier is a 50% mix of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir (the Milesime is only selected in rare, best vintages!) Both hail from France and are made in the traditional Champagne method.

Antinori Tignanello, an Italian favorite!

Did you know that the Tignanello was the first Sangiovese to be aged in barriques, the first contemporary red wine blended with untraditional varieties (specifically Cabernet) and one of the first red wines in the Chianti Classico region that didn’t use white grapes? It’s produced with a selection of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc.

We love a good Chateauneuf du Pape and this one is DYNAMITE!

Winemaker Tasting Notes: This deep red Châteauneuf du Pape is very aromatic. At the very begining, the nose is very red fruit driven and then, after a couple of minutes, it becomes more spicy (sweet asian spices and pot pourri). The mouth is full of energy, very juicy. Lots of garrigue characters, herbal notes but still very fleshy. The palate is soft and
dense bringing an intense sappy finish.

Varietal: 40% Grenache Noir, 35% Syrah, 18% Mourvedre and 7% Cinsault.

This cabernet sauvignon is a blend of four unique estate sites in the Napa Valley, with the Hershey Vineyard atop Howell Mountain providing the backbone of the wine. Hunnicutt is an ultra premium boutique winery in Napa that makes incredible wine. The winery is family owned and operated by Justin Stephens (Talk about a fun family- we attended their harvest party one year and it was off the charts!) They have the DR Stephens label as well.

We are starting out our turkey day celebration with some of our Napa favorites with the Sauvignon blanc and moving on to the Chardonnay and their rose.

REALM! We are stocking up on our cult wines and are pleased to offer The Bard. This wine is off the charts and the critics agree, 98 points Jeb Dunnuck, 98 points James Suckling, 98 points Vinous and 96 points Wine Advocate.

Think blackberries, roasted coffee, spring flowers, and violets. Jeb Dunnuck boasts that this wine has a blockbuster finish.

We first visited Checkerboard Winery 4 years ago and we were blown away by their wines! This is a must visit if you are in the Napa area, the experience is hard to beat and Gary gives the best tour and tasting experience. The winery is located in Diamond Mountain and the attention to detail in the winemaking and all throughout their operations is incredible. The king on the label is hand placed using tiny pieces of gold foil!

The 2017 blend of Checkerboard Kings Row is deliciously aromatic. The nose is fresh, with hints of sweet and juicy fruits that are augmented by dark roast coffee. On the palate, the fruits swirl together with baking spices, green olive and graphite in a wine soft on tannins but long on finish.

This is a highly allocated wine that we are very pleased to bring to our shop.

This awesome bordeaux blend is a collaboration between the Hyde Family of Napa Valley and the de Villaine Family of Burgundy. The de Villaine Family makes the most EXPENSIVE wine in the world, Domaine de la Romanee-Conti.

The Winemaker describes this wine as having deep aromas of black cherry and dark chocolate that are balanced by cassis bud and anise. Subtle tones of to***co and coffee round the palate for a full and rich finish. Perfumed violet and bright acidity brings feminine influence, offset by a robust tannic structure and subtle herbal notes in this highly ageable Bordeaux blend.

Wine down Wednesday with this Burly Cabernet Sauvignon, a great addition to our store today! 🍷We discovered this incredible wine from the recommendation of our good wine loving friends over dinner one evening.

About the Winery: The name for BURLY originates from founder Hank McCrorie’s college football days, when he was dubbed “Burly Bear” by the local paper. The nickname stuck among his teammates and given the bold nature of this wine, is more than a befitting tribute. The oak tree display on the label is not only a symbol connecting the McCrorie’s childhoods – Hank growing up surrounded by the beautiful southern live oaks of North Carolina and Bernice the sprawling live oak trees at the family ranch in Northern California – but also embodies the intrinsic flavors of tannins and oak, balanced by the beauty of its velvety, rich and flavorful layers.
